can any one suggest a good gaming sound card ? i have been looking around but all reviews seem to be bias and it hard to measure sound quality compared to other things such has frame rate .

Sound cards don't really improve frame rate. I think they did back way back when, but not now. You will only be looking at sound improvements.

goku i did not explain myself properly . i ment it is hard to measure sound quality .

IT was a not comparable to measure such thing like a number such has a frame rate to a analogue value like sound . the question was about getting a good sounding sound card not with frame rate at all ; frame rate was an example of something which is easily measurable unlike sound quality which is not a number ; it can only be described by emotions

I have had the Creative X-fi xtremegamer back from like 2007 up until last year when I got the ASUS Xonar XD or something like that. I can't really notice the difference between the two. I do however notice the difference verse on board. Comes down your own ear IMO.

Xtreme gamer is actually no longer produced.

These are the ones I would look into.
