Sure its just an FPS but even tribes 2 had more customisation than that...

see those little arrows in at the bottom of the outline of the face? they wouldnt have those if there were only five faces to choose from, you'd just click on the one you want no need for arrows. so there is more. many more. so be happier.

who cares about faces?? more than half of the armors out there have helmets that cover faces up. the only one that looks really silly face-wise is for the TR MAX http://www.planetside-universe.com/media/viewer.php?img_id=572 (no offense afex:D )

the only reason i chose that face is b/c i had already chosen a super bad-ass face for my main character and didn't really care which face this guy had. :D

About the NC faces being ugly, I can't see how there could be faces specific to a faction. I mean, they're all the same group of people, just divided politically.

Why would you care about the faces? 90% of the character models have helmets on...I think the only ones you can really see the face on is the standard armor and around the TR soldiers' goggles.

It'd be cool. I'm either gonna make myself camoflaughed as much as possible. Even if it is only my face, it still helps if your in grass adn thats the only part stick up, ect. plus, I like scars. :D I think you should be able to customize yourself if you sustain a lot of damage and do a lot of kills or something, like a special scar or something. :D

Given that you have a choice between being purple and teal, black and red, or yellow and blue, you're going to have a hell of a time trying to make yourself not stick out like a sore thumb.

its a lose lose situation, the dev's make really high quality high poly face's, people complain about the lag, artist's make low quality faces, people complain, the way i see it now, they are high ENOUGH quality, they look great, and they are low poly, which is what matters when it comes down to it

no matter the resolution of face, it depends on the persons computer, among other things. having high quality textures wont cause server lag. if things are sent with packets, then it wont matter. just crappy computer lag. also, poly count has nothing to do with texturing.

That would be cool, but then they might boost up the price though....even though it only costs like 2 bucks to make the cd and about 10 bukcs worhta prgramming they'll somehow add 20 more bucks to it.....hahaha, but if the price doesnt go up, im with it.

But then you gotta think, its a game where 90% of the players are wearin' helmets, so why not make it so everyone has customized hlemets rather than faces, like you can make a skin on your comp with the ever-so-simple paint program and put it on your helmet, that'd pretty cool. They'd probably make it so that theres color restrictions though. Imagine a Vanu walking around with a TR helmet....hahah thin kof the color imbalance...:D

And also they shouldn't put body/body partsize in there cuz everyone will choose the small people to make themselves smaller targets....and planetside will turn into midgetside....:D
