Just a thought, depending on how quickly you accumulate/dissapate greif points always being in big battles may suck, BAD. Some days you are just unlucky, you lob a grenade over the wall, a squad of your team goes running by, boom, next thing you know you can't play for a day? In large battles with lots of splash damage flying about (especially for maxies) I could see people gaining grief points rapidly by accident. Get unlucky and participate in some big battels back to back may have you watching some Fear Factor on wed. nights...........................

Will be intersreting to see how this whole thing plays out, tell ya one thing, if people get banned for a day by accident in a game they are paying a monthly fee to pay....there will be hell to pay.

The thing is, most of the people you might be hitting on your own team are in your squad, and squad TKing does not give you grief points.

So if there's some guy following your squad around and participating in your battles, just invite him to join your squad. He'll stop dying at the hands of your squad and he'll stop tking your squad.

As an added bonus, he'll get to share BEP with you squad and you'll all get BEP for anyone he kills.

There is meat in team.

Shit happens... nothing to do but fight on if you accidentaly kill someone :D

Doubt a grenade will wipe out a squad tho or give you enough greif points to get your weapons locked.

they have to report you in order for you to get greif points right...in that case they should know its there fault running into the line of fire. plus accident are going to happen

According to this (http://www.planetside-universe.com/content.php?p=sdGrief), nothing has to be reported.

Read the FAQ, or the Grief section, or the numerous posts on this. BTW, if you killed too many friendlies accidentally you will get a weapons/movement lock. I'm gonna log out if that happens (hope it doesn't) and play more the next day.

Id hate to get a weapons lock. How long do I have to wait to have my weapons unlocked and back in my hand?

I think it's until all of your grief goes away, so if you end up getting a weapon lock it might be 2-3 days, maybe more

Ammo is hard to come by, anyone dumb enough to blankly shoot in a large battle deserves grief points.

You have to have skill, and only shoot when it's a confirmed shot. It's realistic here ppl, no n00b tactics.

waht happens if you crash a galaxy with non squad memebers in it?

i think you should only get grief points if you really crash it into the ground and you should be able to be forgiven some how like they do in some servers of CS. If you are shot down you should definently not get grief points you should only get them if your at fault.

HUH? I thought this was a fantasy game not Rainbox Six? What part of this game has anything real about it? Maybe the Vanu maxes jumoing walls I don't know.

I'll be sure to tell anyone in a tank not to shell a court yard unless he knows its a confirmed kill and nobody else from any other attacking squad ahs charged in. Crikey.

I am sure this is one of the things they will watch carefully and balance.

If you're lobbing nades carelessly without watching your radar you deserve the pts. Download Raven Shield demo, you'll get a feel on how a smart player plays, you make sure who is there before throwing a nade. That being said sometimes you will get a buddy or 2 by accident but you need more than that for a ban, you gotta go through weapon lock first and all that shiznit. :)

But what if someone is lagging little bit, and for some reason by alot and shots when his line gets crossed, but then 5 seconds later the lag finally lets go of hell and somehow it hits a friendly.....now I know the lagger shouldn't even be playin and all since he got lag....but hey, it might be one of thos times where the lag just hits ya in da head or somtin.....who knows?

But then I think only weapon lock should last for 10-20 seconds....or till he gets shot at.....

And instead of grief points let the team decide....like T2...

First of all, there should be soem kind of way to forgive. Accidnets happen , you may of had an extra dose of caffeine or something else:rolleyes: that day and you might have a happy trigger finger. Yes i know it still takes quite a few greif points to get real punishment, but still, forgivness is a must have for the greif system.

Second, if you're lobbing a grenade into a blan kspot where you know someone in your empire has any chance of being there, it's your fault.

Third,DON'T LOB GRENADES, SET UP TRAPS, ETC. FOR SOMEONE UNLESS IT'S A CONFIRMED ENEMY. The right way to use the grenade: I've playted CS so many times and people are just amazed when someone gets killed with a nade'. If you know how to use the nade' right you can get kills left and right. You don't lob a nade' where the enemy MIGHT be, unless it's to supress attack. You should always wait until you know theres an enemy there. And the trick to killing him with a nade' is you exchange fire with him until you know hes pretty hurt, then lob the nade' in a way so it blows up somewhere around his face. He's dead.
