I put together my pc build... and it turn on, but nothing came on the screen. Everything was running, but nothing pop up on the screen just utter blackness with the screen saying no system... So i opened it back up and checked the plugs then when i went to turn on my pc nothing was getting power my pc was dead. What happened? This a couple hundred bucks down the drain...

This will sound random, but make sure the power that goes into the CPU area is plugged in (it's a 4 pin on my system, by the CPU socket.) One time I installed a graphics card and forgot about that one, even though the motherboard 20 pin one was installed.

Did you try flipping the switch on the back of the power supply?

Try reseting the CMOS. Look it in the motherboard manual how to do it.
What are you using to connect to your TV (DVI, HDMI)? The TV was set to the proper input? You had the connector to the card itself not the motherboard?

Did you remember to put in the windows CD? If yes, where did you get it cause I dont see it on your parts list?
Does it make any beeps or show any numbers on the led?

Check that its set to 120V at the back. Also check your power strip/circuit breaker/fuse. If you dont smell anything burnt, you may have just received a dead-on-arrival psu. Return it and get a free replacement. Or if you have another desktop, try using this psu to power it to check if it works.

Make sure you did not install a standoff in the case for which there is no opening on the motherboard.
Ive seen PLENTY of first time PC builders install all the standoffs in the baggie into the case. Then when they put in the motherboard something is grounded/shorted out. It can damage a motherboard sometimes, other times it will be fine.

What exactly is a stand off?

You only need those installed behind the actual motherboard screws, but your case comes with extras because some larger motherboards use more mounting screws than others. In other words, those standoffs need to be mounted on the spots that match your motherboard's mounting holes, and only in those spots.

Don't suppose you can take a picture/s of your system?

So just to be clear, you switched on the computer once and it powered up, fans turning with signs of life, but since then it's been dead?
I'm guessing you've gotten a bad PSU, which seems to happen occasionally looking at the reviews (didn't Goku recommend the Antec Neo Eco?)

It sounds like you've got a plug not plugged in properly or, simply, a broken power supply.
Sometimes a thingy is borked. Just gotta figure out what it is and get them to replace it.

Yea im starting think it is the PSU too... Because i came home double checked the plugs then it turned :D but still no picture on the monitor... I tried different monitor plugs hdmi (tv)and RGB ( on an actual computer monitor) connected it to the GPU and MOBO( not at the same time) but still nothing ( i know i should check the beeps :P) i turned my power supply off using the reset button and disconnected it from the wall... And now again when i plug it still won't turn on.
Lol i had my PSU plugged in wrong well that's one problem down... lol thanks by the way for the support guys sorry i didn't answer all of your questions. I just need help getting it show on my tv or monitor (RGB)..

First make sure the power connector from the case to the motherboard is connected in the right place.
Connect your sata connections from your mobo to your hard drive and dvd drive.
Next be sure all the power connectors from the PSU are connected to your hardware. Power to the Hard drive, motherboard, video card, cpu, fans, dvd drive, etc.
When you hit the power button on your case do the case fans start spinning? Is there a beep? Or is it dead, as in nothing happens. No fans spin.

I heard the other day that motherboards don't beep on start-up anymore. Is that true? It's kind of sad if it is...It's like the computer's saying "Buh? Oh...Hello! I'm awake!"

Make sure your 8 and 4 pin power supply leads are connected to your gfx card tightly. Depends on what gfx card you have you may only need one lead connected.

Double check your connections. 2 leads on your video card. Make sure the CPU power is connected and CPU fan etc.

If your positive everything is connected correctly. Try booting with 1 stick of ram.
Did you try reseting CMOS?

Your motherboard doesn't make beeps on itself, it needs a case speaker connected to it. However, you can still know what's wrong if you look at the debug LED (which is also labeled in the above pictre of your motherboard).
Nice to know that it's working now, but remember the trick for if and when something goes wrong in the future. If the monitor doesn't turn on, listen to the beeps and read the debug LEDs. They can really help you narrow down your problems.
