In addition to having Matt on tonight we are going to have several people (including myself) who have played PlanetSide 2 and we are going to talk about it.
If there is anything specific you want us to cover post it here. Keep in mind the game is not feature complete something you ask about here may not be in the game.
We are NOT in beta at this time. Our knowledge comes from Community Day as well as my trips to San Diego.
EDIT: This is not questions for Higby but discussion points you would like to see from the people who played.

What worries me most, and I'd love Higby to talk about this, is the lag. In all footage of every playtest so far I've seen isntances of jumping tanks and jumping players.

I want to support this game, but I'm not really into spending money on gimmicks.

I'd like to know that if you buy camo do you have to buy it for every class, vehicle, and gun or if you just buy the pattern and can apply it to everything you want as many times as you want?

I'd like to hear your take on infiltrators, from what I've seen you cant be cloaked for a longer period of time, the "energy" of your infil suit drains regardless of you standing still or moving?
For example in PS1 you could sit still and you could be cloaked and your energy would go up anyways. Is that even possible in PS2?
I'd also like to know how you feel about the cloak itself, it looks like you can very easily spot cloaked players. Thoughts on this? How will it effect cloakers that enjoy assassinations and backstabbing enemy infantry?

Sweet! How do you feel about the spawn mechanics since you've had a chance to try them out? (Squad spawning/GAL spawning/Base spawning)
Will PS2 feature toggle crouch and scope zoom?

How did you feel about the currency? Every vehicle cost something to deploy, whats your take on that?
How easy is it to really defend a deployed galaxy, now when they have taken the AMS's role? It feels like its a pretty big target, making strategic placement of galaxies and spawns really hard to hold? Or will most players just use squad spawns..?

I'd be interested to hear what you guys think about the TTK and how it's affected by headshots. Do you think once everyone gets used to aiming for heads with these weapons that the TTK will end up being too low? Headshots are usually a lot easier from above, do you think the fact that bases have a lot of vertical combat will lead to headshots being too common inside them?
I guess what I'm asking is will headshots be easy and common enough to become the defacto TTK? Because I've seen this happen in several shooters, most recently in Blacklight.

Related to sanctuaries:
Do the 3 maps feel like a connected global map or are they instances?
Does travel to a different map feel like spawning into another instance or are you travelling across the world?
Do you care what happens on the other maps
since there are no home continents
and you only get resources from the map you are on?

How do you feel about the new base capture mechanics?
Can you give an overview of the process of capturing a base please, through each capture point.
Have you noticed any tactics from PlanetSide that you don't think will work in PS2?
And is there anything new that you've spotted in PS2 that you think would be awesome?
Has anyone tried rallying in a warp gate, like we would back at Sanc?
At any point did anyone think, "we really need the AMS back."

Much of the above. One thing though, reading over the AMS thread; how dose spawning feel? As far as getting to Terminals and getting to the battle.
I understand if the E3 rules were still in effect, or if the Pops were so low, that the question is kinda un-answerable. Feelings so far? :]

How do you feel about the galaxy and it's new roll as a spawn point? Does the ability of the galaxy matched with how we have seen drop pods thus far enhance the game play in the since of getting to the fight quicker? Or does this aspect seem to cater towards the twitch console gamers and take away from what PS1 was?

discuss how OP drop pods are w/o SOI. discuss how in the hands of clever outfits this equates into it being pointless to try to defend bases.
I have faith in you guys to cover the important topics, and hopefully you can give us a good description of what you got to play with. To cover the basics though, I think there area few major points:
1. How do the fps mechanics feel? Fast? Slow? Does it rely heavily on ADS or hip fire, or is it balanced?
2. Vehicle combat. Many of the same questions, but I think given recent discussions, everyone wants to know how tanks are working out. Are they particularly vulnerable to infantry or fighters? Does the secondary turret feel fairly necessary? Are people swarming with tanks any more in relation to infantry, compared to PS1? How vulnerable are tanks?
3. Base combat: maybe it's just me, but I thought Zurvan looked different in Higby's stream than in the E3 demo. I know it now has more points: can you guys confirm or deny any changes? What do you think of the larger capture point system? Any word on what else may be used?

I'd like to know about the aircraft. When you guys played did you use joysticks, or mouse and keyboard? Do you think joystick users will have a significant advantage?

Did any of you spot an option to turn a tank or other vehicle into Anti Aircraft?
(max doesn't count)
Did any of you try to mess around with outfits(clan setup)? if yes, what did you see?
Did you spot an option to have permanent heat/night vision, without using the scope on the weapon?
For healers : how did you find the tool you had to support your fellows?

What is the Medic ability energy used for, is it both the healing tool and class ability?
What are the consumption rates?
Does the Engineer repair tool use energy?
One last thing: have any of you guys gotten any idea of weapon range? Can an assault rifle be used for fairly long range combat (like shooting across bases?) Just curious.

I would like to know
1/. How big of a deal is it that you cant see what weapons/equipment everyone has. For example you cant tell if that HA in front of you has a rifle plus some AV, 2*AV or 2*rifle. Am I asking a stupid question here? There is no inventory system so is it even possible to have a rifle in your hands and a rocket launcher (which we cant see) on your back?
2/. As someone who realy enjoyed the tank-team aspect of the TR prowlers, how good/bad/annoying is the driver as a gunner issue. Is it possible to still play as a mobile "tank" or are you pretty much a mobile artilery platform that has to stop to shoot (to ensure you hit stuff).
3/. Is the kill-cam as intrusive/annoying as it looks in the latest videos.?
I like the 3D model and the stats/info it offers. I dont like the fact you seem to be forced to watch it for a long time and are unable to interact with the GUI. Also, the way your corpse just drops seems a tad "meh".

Can you ask if they'll include a payment option that allows you to buy a membership where everything is unlocked for you.
I want to pay upfront for the game (anywhere between £40 - £60 ($60 - $80ish)) and not have to fork out small amounts all the time.
I don't like paying subscriptions or for boosters as sometimes I have to travel for months at a time. I think more and more people are like me (esp. Students) and would like this option.

I don't think $80 will buy you PS2 because
I have seen a game in which an eye-liner costs $20 and changing skin color costs $100.

How customisable are the UI settings, can you turn stuff completely off? for example there is a compass on top of the map as well as 1 when you get in a tank, on top of the vehicle UI that gets displayed. this seems like excessive UI, can it be turned off or changed?
I have also seen instances of the life/shield meter (I'm not sure what one it represents) being permanently with ammo etc, as well as a bigger version around centre of screen after you get hit and its recharging... I see no reason to have 2 bits of UI telling me the same information, one being rather intrusive it seems.
Edit, never mind, Higby has given me an answer.

Do the sound effects really sound as good as they come across in the footage? I ask because sound synergy is a big deal to me in games, and they sounded kick-the-fucking-hell-ass great in the videos. I am hoping, that up close, actually in the game, they really sound as good as I suspect they do. I have to say, my favorite sound, is the Vanu pulsar... I will be shooting walls for hours... damn I like that subdued staccato sound.
I guess the jist of my question is... does anything sound "weak", or out of place?

What do you think about squad spawning? is it really needed? Does it take away the need for GAl drops? Will it take away the battles in between bases? Since you dont have to make your way to a base,you just drop pod in
In an MMO with a Persistent world ,that doesnt have a time limit or matches is this really needed.I understand why other games have it.But really is it so hard to spawn at another friendly base or tower

After the initial crashing in the mountains was worked out of your systems, what did you think of the flight mechanics and air to ground combat? Was it hard to strafe a target on the ground? How was your situational awareness? Did you feel that the flight speed to physical space to fly in ratio was constricting or unnoticeable?

How does the Combat engineer play out? can they have mutiple mines / spits / sensors in play at any given time or have they been restriced to one at a time

I am interested in this as well. Did anyone actually deploy a Galaxy (where you land it and make it a kind of base) and try out what you can do with it? I know certs aren't in and they might alter the whole thing, but just wondering how that is supposed to work.

How did HA and LA feel compared to each other? Do both of their strengths feel like good compensation for their weaknesses compared to each other?
How does it feel driving a tank? Did the controls for gunning while driving feel naturally and effective? How much would allowing third person in land vehicles help improve the experience?
How different does it currently feel to play as a VS, TR, or NC? Is it mostly only noticeable in the ES vehicles and color/sound of the weapons, or does it really feel like you're playing for a different side in the moment to moment gameplay?

I have 3 questions..
1) How does the tactical/teamwork aspect of the game (if there is one at all) feel? I know it's hard to tell when your not really communicating with your teammates, but do you feel their is an opportunity for some excellent team play?
2) How does the interior of the biodome feel and look. Elaborate on the biodome itself and what you expect.
3) How is the interior combat. Can we expect some epic fights or does the game feel like it is more geared towards outdoor combat?

To those who have played PS2 thus far....How much does it remind you of BF3? Be honest. Not trolling here, really just concerned how similar it would feel to the typical player whose never played PS2 but has only played BF3.
