Lovely. Looks like something out of some peaceful happy exploration/puzzle MMO, like Myst meets Final Fantasy. It's hard to imagine a bunch of armor plated murderers running amok through this pristine landscape, spraying flames and death and carnage all over it and each other...

...but I'm sure we'll manage.

They have stated that they are going to have multiple biospheres on the continent. If you check out the flight ceiling thread you can see a video towards the end where they fly a large span of the continent and there is a mountainous forest area there as well.

I hope they put in some Normandy style hedgerows for tank battles. Would make for some really fun tactical maneuvering of armor.

I like how distinct it looks, even compared to the greener areas on Indar.

One problem with games back when the first Planetside came out was that it was very difficult to make diverse looking environments without going completely over the top. You could tell which continent you were on in PS1, but sometimes the green areas and the brown areas and the white areas sort of blended together.

Nice to see Planetside 2 coming out in a post-crysis world where snowy environments can actually look amazing, and where one forest looks as distinct from another as they can in real life.

There may not be the 'Crysis-dense' forest or jungle outside of Biolab, but I'm pretty sure that at least one region of Amerish will have what you're thinking :cool:

Or they will add it on one of the post-launch continents. Who knows?

It'd be very weird for SOE to have bloom/blur only on Amerish while Indar still don't seem to have them, too. So I'd say you can turn it off ;)
