Vanu Infil...no longer fired up

At first I thought the Vanu Infil was cool looking, until the mask/helmet was more clear. Great concept, but after seeing it from multiple angles, it is too egg shaped and it looks...well...grumpy. After seeing it on the female avatar..well I am no longer sold on this look. The lines and shape are just not working for me.

I really like what they are trying to accomplish with it. I do. And this is totally a personal aesthetic opinion that I am not asking to be changed, because I would rather they get the game out so I can play. I can deal with looking odd when I knife someone in the back. ;)

Now post launch, if they wish to make this a customization... I WOULD PAY FOR A BETTER LOOKING VANU INFILTRATOR CLASS. Just say'n.

Might I suggest something closer to this:
NOT EXACTLY....but close....stamp the glowy vanu symbol (wicked cool BTW) on the front or something. Metallic gray instead of glossy black. I dunno, mess with it a bit.

Helmets in the shop for Station Cash have been confirmed, I believe. So you won't have to wear the egg-helmet if you don't like it. Persnoally, I think it looks ok.

I'd have to disagree with you on that one, I think the helmet look a little greedy and possibly jealous...i might even say its a bit thirsty.

To be honest, in trying to convince people that PS2 will be awesome, the dated and gumpy 70's sci-to look is the biggest hurdle I've found. I don't like it myself, but it doesn't stop me from thinking this shit will be a blast lol.

I'm fine with the helmets as they are. It's very creepy and definitely not something I would want to look at just before I die. Serves the purpose wonderfully.

Think the helmets are bad? You should see the faces underneath. They tried to make themselves into Predators, but ended up with the Predator head on the body of Thor from SG-1.

True... but there's no 3rd person view of myself and I'm pretty sure they don't have mirrors in the future, so I don't care if I'm ugly.

I'll totally be buying various camos though. Functional ones, not pink zebras. And anything to disguise my silhouette - because that's the biggest giveaway in these games. You learn to shoot silhouettes first. I've gotten heaps of grief blasting away at NC Prowlers during all vehicle weekends.

If you can't immediately recognise it from the shape, then your brain has to turn on to look for colours, and faction specific markings of various kinds.

I'm honestly surprised to see a complaint about the VS cloaker. I thought it was hands down the best looking. The TR one looks like he has a latex fetish and loves to be encased in tight rubber armor :brow:. And the NC one just looks a little too macho to be an infiltrator.
