Hello fellow players! Although I am not a Beta tester nor do I have immiediate acess to a computer capable of playing Planetside, I am simply addicted to everything about it.

However, after hours of drooling over many interesting screenshots, some questions have taken shape in my inexperienced mind!

A: What are those blobs(not coffins) on the ground after a firefight between the VS and the NC? Is this some kind of refuse generated by the VS's laser technology?

B: Will 56k modems really be able to play PS?

C: Can I play with 320mb RAM or will my computer burst in to flames?

D:Where are the class specs on this website?

E: Does PS have any Auto-Balancing feature or will the more popular empires reign supreme with sheer numbers?

Thank you!

1. Pic please
2. Yes
3. Minimum specs are 256 MB
4. Class? There are no true classes in PS
5. Auto-balancing? They have a system to give bonuses to the worse off empires but you're stuck with the empire you chose on that server so you can't be moved.

BTW, this could have been found on the PSU or PS official FAQ

...Rocks...No, voice chat isn't in most games that I've played and most of the time it suck. Heh, you can use a 3rd part program like TeamSpeak 2

A: What are those blobs(not coffins) on the ground after a firefight between the VS and the NC? Is this some kind of refuse generated by the VS's laser technology?

Rocks. IMO.

B: Will 56k modems really be able to play PS?

Yes. But you wont get a decent performance in heavy firefights and it may be in your best interest to play a supporting role rather than a grunt.

C: Can I play with 320mb RAM or will my computer burst in to flames?

yes. They lowered the specs some time back, heres a link
http://www.planetside-universe.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3949

Minimum Specs:
Windows 98/2000/ME/XP
Pentium II 1.0 Mhz or greater
256 MB RAM
Direct3D compliant video card with 32MB RAM
DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
56k+ Internet connection
4X speed CD-ROM
2.0 GB hard drive space
DirectX 8.1 or greater

If possible thou, upgrade, it will be better for you in the long run. And you'll get better performance and thus a better gaming experience from PS.

D:Where are the class specs on this website?

Erm... main page? 1 sec... here...

Certs - http://www.planetside-universe.com/content.php?p=sdCertInfo
Implants - http://www.planetside-universe.com/content.php?p=sdImplantInfo
Armours - http://www.planetside-universe.com/content.php?p=sdArmorInfo
Ranks - http://www.planetside-universe.com/content.php?p=sdRankInfo

These make up the bulk of the "class specific" type stuff, theres no classes per say, just specialisations.

Then you can have these stuff too, they all contribute to character customisation

Equipment - http://www.planetside-universe.com/content.php?p=sdEquipment
Weapons - http://www.planetside-universe.com/content.php?p=sdWeaponInfo
Vehicles - http://www.planetside-universe.com/content.php?p=sdVehicleInfo

Not a flame but try looking next time its a link on the left hand side below the Quote database stuff, under the title GAME INFO :D

E: Does PS have any Auto-Balancing feature or will the more popular empires reign supreme with sheer numbers?

Yes. Although Im not going to find a link to it now :) There are features for extra stats when the outnumbering becomes too great. And they can do other stuff too the devs have mentioned.

F: Voice chat?

No, not in game at least not at release. But they are allowing 3rd party apps.

simba we dont mean voice-overs like tribes 2 where you could "say" something, we mean voice team speak where you have headphones on and you talk and you can hear other peeps talking.

But yes you can have some limited voice commands that speak on other peeps computers, just not your own voice they are pre-determined binds.
