Having gone through several topics, it reminded me of the jargon and slang we used back in the good ol' days. The wiki I found about PS jargon didn't include most of the jargon, so I made a little list of most of the PS terminology, but I feel I'm missing out on some... anyone?

Also, I know it is going to take me awhile to call Heavy Assault by its proper name. I'm just going to say "Rexo" for awhile (REinforced eXO-suit for new comers).

Well, that is what they're wearing, so I'll always be saying Rexo. Easier to say and we all know what we're talking about.

Ghost = Infiltrator
GG = Galaxy Gunship
Farming = making lots of kills easily
Gen = base generator

While you were farmed by the GG a ghost sneaked into the gen.

I'd always heard Backhack to, more specifically, mean attacking a rear-line base, defenders or no. Often done by the 3rd empire not already involved in a cont battle.

"WTF, NC backhack? There goes the cont."
---
And while we're at it. Cont: Continent, later turned into planets. Still called conts.
---
Lesser used: Circle Jerk: When all 3 empire are stuck on the same cont, making no progress for hours or days. Threeway meets stalemate.

"How's Cyssor going?"
"Circle Jerk, hour 36."
---
Libby: Liberator bomber
---
Caver: Players who spent the bulk of their play time in caves.
---
McGun: TR Heavy Assult Mini-Chaingun

I don't know if anyone will actually remember this, but since PS2 has a flamethrower this time around, is anyone going to call it the Jawa?

Why would you call a flamethrower a Jawa? Jawas usually use blasters or ion weapons...

Thats not an acronym, it's an abbreviation. An acronym is a word made out of the first letters of a sentence or name, like NASA or YOLO.

On the official PS1 forums, when the game was still in alpha, a member named CrazyJawa used to talk about flamethrowers all the time to the point where everyone started referring to it as the Jawa. (Its official name at the time was flamespitter, I think)

Vanu were often referred to as "fishheads" on Werner, which to be fair was full of drug addicts, borderline personalities and sexual predators. Or maybe that was just my outfit. :confused:

Fraggles was often used for the cavemen (at least for the VS).
Magtrain, when there was about 3 or more Magriders together.
Surgile, Agiles with Surge (usually seen bailing from Mossies with their HA).
Grannyhack, someone hacking without any of the hacking certs (the slowest hack).
Interfarm, another name for Interlink Facilities (due to the difficulty in taking them).
Biffer, often used instead of BFR.
