We all need positive things to talk about until CBT releases the tension around here :P

So.

In terms of community events, I'd like to hear everyones take on ...

A) What you'd like to see as far as Community Events (such as gatherings, themes, lore-driven battes, Holidays, anything goes :D.).

B) How would you like to see these events implemented (Combat, Non-combat, logistics, details, etc.).

C) What you think is actually possible in the game's engine as sho thus far (holiday lights, special forced skins, new areas, etc.)

D) Do you participate in events from other games? What kind of things could be inspired by/borrowed from those?

Also, let's try to keep the holiday religion/diversity discussion out, as it has a thread already. Remember, keep it positive. lol.

A) Nothing really, and wont miss it.
B) Spend the time on fixing imbalance and bugs
C) Anything is possible as we've already seen but I think time could be better spent making sure what we already have is right.
D) Only if it benefits character advancement but I dont recall seeing too much of this community event stuff in FPS's.

I'm sure at SOME point they'll have time to put in additional content.

I would like for them to introduce a 4th faction during a community event controlled by the devs.

@Reizod something like that would probably just unbalance the game.

Though I don't think they are necessary for this type of game, if they were to have something I would suggest making some sort of special objective. The special objective could be several things, one I can think of off the too of my head would be securing an artifact or such. Perhaps for having completed it your faction gets some kind of bonus for a certain amount of time.

I would be keen to see some community driven testing stuff in CBT... everyone, regardless of faction meeting in one area to see what happens, then all laying C4 and detonating it at once!

I think that would be great. That's kind of what I was thinking when I mentioned lore-driven battles. I think this would be a great way to make sure all this faction loyalty and lore crap is actually a part of the culture in the game. I know that the older I've gotten the less interest I've taken in any immersion into a multiplayer game's culture. TBH, this is the first forum I've signed onto in a really long time, just because I feel the community here is strong and integral to a good experience in a persistent setting. I feel events like the one described above help make it easier to be a diehard when I've got more time-consuming fish to fry. :)

You TR would need a special day just for ruling, as Vanu do it every other day!
