fun to see what they planned making it in game.

smed made a hint about the landing struts on the tower, connoting base building ala-starhawk seems it won't be in ps2.

Actually smed has mentioned very recently (during E3 I think, somewhere around there) that base building mechanics are not off the table. It is a possible addition to be made over the next five years as Planetside continues to be developed.

I think base constructing would be very cool. I am a huge fan of crafting in other MMO's and would be very excited about even having the ability to construct outfit bases with resources in a instanced zone. But that is the MMO player in me talking not the FPS player.

I remember shaking my heads at all the self proclaimed pessimists who would tell everyone that beta wouldn't be for another couple of months and release wouldn't be until next year. Now I'm just thinking that they have been following games a lot longer than I have haha
