As long as the patient or "victim" has thought long and hard about it and agrees of his own consent yeah i'm for it too.

If i know i have 2 years of intense suffering before finally dying no mattre what i'd probably rather just end it now and skip all that pain.

There are problems with mercy killings though. For instance, since the person preforming the operation, gets paid. Technincally they don't have to care if the person's choice to die is logical. Immoral people who preform these killings may kill people, who with counseling etc.. could get better.
Now, if someone is going to die without a doubt, and was suffering etc.. then this would be fine. Of course I know a woman who was told she ahd 1 year left and she lived 15 more without much pain.

If the person is able of kill themselfs, then no. If the person is on life support and wants to die, then yes.

I think mercy killings are OK if the person agrees. The person owns their life, they can do whatever they wish with it. Who would tell a suffering, doomed, cancer patient that you will have to suffer for a year, eventhough you want to skip the pain because you cant make a descision about what you can do with your life, and that only we can.
