I have been in a few betas and I haven't seen a company so willingly to talk to the community. A company that treats its customers like adults is few and far between. Your presence, communication, and any other PR work has been top notch in my book. Tweets, forums, and now even command center episodes, I don't think gamers could ask anything more from you guys.

Smedley has said that they are planning for the beta to be Fri or Mon and everyone starts crying. Here, I now apologize for the community. Even though it was clearly stated that "mon and tues" was not set in stone, barring any "unforeseen circumstances". I would like to think the majority understands that you want us to play this game, just as much as we want to play it. I would like to think they understand that you want us to actually play the game when we download it, instead of crashing every 5 minutes. Please SOE, do not stop your communication with the community. There will be some kids that cry, but the majority of us appreciate the relatively "open-book" nature towards the community.

Again, sorry SOE, kids will be kids.

It's a sad sign of the community that something like this needs to be said, but I'm glad it was said.

I already have my pcgamer key, I'm not seeking favors. It's just the fact that I feel they get crucified by the community if things dont go as planned. If the community does that, than they just won't talk to us and everyone will be left in the dark.

OMG. Will you idiots stop making whine threads? Or apologising for whine threads (same thing, you know)

This only creates a platform for flaming/whining/e-rage.

Just... Stop.

I wasn't aware that this community had done something which required an apology?
Some miffed posts, sure. But I've seen far worse.

People need to chill. I'm guessing the people complaining have never done beta stuff before. It will come when ready. Look at guild wars 2. They said it will be out when it was ready and that is the only answer they ever gave when asked. Hardly any people complained and they have made an amazing game.

Planetside community need to be patient. The game is development still and if you want a
Good game you will wait and help with beta testing when it is ready. If you rush things it will be crap and fail.

All good things come to those who wait.

Erm, read the actual threads your apologizing for.

Nobody is whining...

And stop greating pointless threads already. We have 2 beta threads, thats enough.
