The overhanging piece looks like the long pipe section that TotalBiscuit was following out in the desert of Indar until he drove out of bounds.

2 conts for beta sounds like a decent enough thing for me to stop being disappointed about not being in beta today.

What does Saw Alen do at SOE? Is he an artist? Level designer? Game designer? If we find out what he does that will be the answer!

That'd be one hell of a cloak, I can't even see an outline or anything signifying somethings there other then that there's a shadow.

Not saying it couldn't be a cloak, but a Galaxy isn't exactly small.

at the very least it looks vanu.

but if it was teh old phnaty wagon id be very happy, i spent the last two years near exclucivly running a phanty wagon service


its also pretty fun to camp above an LLU that people are trying to run across a bridge and afterburn smash anyone who tries to pick it up.

That's what I was looking at. Cloaked vehicles would be a ridiculous advantage.

ehhh, depends on what they do, that phantasm (once gun removed) was the perfect answer to small transport. and the AMS and wraith both had great balence while stealth.

Definitely looks like Amerish and reminds me of the Amerish concept art shown by T-Ray. Damn beautiful continent for sure.

And it almost looks like the overall base structure will be distinct based on what continent they're in. I've personally never seen that kinda structure on Indar. (with thick wires and the shape of that building) They are maybe these pipes on SE desert of Indar but still.... :groovy:

If you think on the scale of Planetside 2, they're getting Amerish ready for closed beta. Planetside 2 is pretty cool, right? I'd say it's looking and sounding pretty ****ing awesome actually! Amerish being ready for beta will just be fantastic!

Does anyone here really think the entire team has the skills to handle bugs, solve CTD's, and overall improve engine compatibility with various systems? T-Ray and Higby ain't a part of those teams, and we've been told they're working their asses off too.

Y'all don't give these guys enough credit. Planetside 2 is working fine, they just delayed because they felt they could get this to us within the week, making our first impression of beta even better.

It could also mean MORE invites per wave to have Amerish in, but that's assuming they weren't originally planning to hold multiple instances of Indar on a single/per server to simulate having multiple continents with expected server loads.

I vote phantasm. It is a needed addition with all of the spec/night ops ability. Something needs to fill the niche for stealthy transit.

there will be 3 continents at Launch each with there own diverse terrain and content,
Indar is a desert style
Amerish a lush green grassland, forest, highlands and the last will be an arctic tundra zone.

I think it's just one of those odd structures that Hamma was driving to.

the land looks nothing like Scotland (which is what Amerish is themed after I believe), to me it's more like S China...

In PS1 some continents were the capitals of the Empires which were rare to be fought over too often
