Very good.

I'll admit I didn't know a lot about you lot until Werner closed down, but it's pleasure in an SM sense every time I see DT on the battlefield.

(One of the best things in PS are the different styles of outfit and +1 to outfits like DT, of which there are few)

Congratulations!

Well done to the ONLY REAL spec Ops outfit that specializes in guerrilla fighting in the VS.

Emphasis on "ONLY", seeing how every single VS outfit is a gigantic zerg, I want to say its excellent how they push forward depending on the skills of their members and even then EVEN if you aren't that good you can still roll with them and improve your skills thus becoming better then you was before. This outfit doesn't have that bullshit ass-kissing ranking system of leader, officer and other nonsense - everyone there is a DT member and part of a brotherhood.

This outfit shows that you don't need numbers to win the day and it shows. Dt is unique because it is the only outfit that truly does guerrilla fighting and it will be a sad day for VS if DT ever decide to leaves. (Hopefully they will join TR :D)

To all you people that may be interested in making an outfit in the VS learn from these guys, don't be like the other outfits who just recruits just for the sake of it - strive for Quality not Quantity!

I wouldnt say only, FC is a pretty crack squad too, but yeah, there arent many on VS

As someone who has frequently fought DT, they are one of the scariest VS outfits I can think of. Possibly the single best outfit in the entire game from an objective standpoint. I've played with many of their members, and every time I go up against them, I'm never quite sure what to expect. Always a rush to have to think and keep on my toes against them.

Would liek to point out that speaking of quality over quantity there was a poitn at which Xen of Onsalught had 1/2 the members of the largest VS outfit but was at #2 position in terms of score. Only Azure Twilight was ahead of us. (This was on emerald server, and before I joined, but my outfit has a reputation too :D)

But DT sounds scary. +1 For it being VS!

I'm never quite sure what to expect.

Oh, I am. I expect to die and I send them hate tells when it doesn't go according to plan. Haven't had to send any yet.

Yes.

DT seems quite different (at least from my perspective on the outside of it) from any other outfit there, differentiation is what made PS so cool.

@DT memebers: you said about 10% of applicants make it. How much of that 90% is dropped because they are not active enough versus disrespectful/personality mismatch versus people you like but just are not skilled enough?

Future Crew is too gay

DF frequently wearing a latex suit while playing makes him wierd, but not necessarily gay.

...some of his posts though

then again... kansai... and those sheep... *shudders*

I think all VS have something... not quite normal going on, maybe constantly seeing purple causes their brains to fry...

This. Having fought against DT since early 04 I absolutely hope I get to continue fighting against them in PS2.

I have tremendous respect for DT, they are a solid outfit and extremely objective oriented. I have trouble thinking of a time that I have seen DT farming a tower or the like. I look forward to playing with them in PS2.

It really just depends, but most due to not meshing/skilled enough for the group.

+1 for the Spotlight though.

I have to echo most of the posts on the first page. Always fun to have one non-max zergfit to fight against on the VS. :p

Here's to hoping I end up choosing the same server ya'll are on for PS2. And there's no Dagda.

Thanks guys. It really means a lot to all of us to be part of this community. Look forward to seeing you all in beta. And as I said in the Spotlight, we've kept recruitment under wraps until now but we'll be starting again very shortly. If you're interested hit any of us up in game.

(Still not decision on which Empire we're going yet though I'm afraid)

We're all playing VS currently but ultimately it depends what happens with Empire populations and balance. We tend to choose the underdog in games.

AC and FC were both awesome outfits too in their day, several DT members were with them too at some point or another. I know the top VS outfit on werner won outfit wars too, I just can't remember their name...

C'mon Dart, you guys know deep down that VS is your home. If you go NC/TR you'll always have that longing that only lush, purple velour can satisfy....

@DT memebers: you said about 10% of applicants make it. How much of that 90% is dropped because they are not active enough versus disrespectful/personality mismatch versus people you like but just are not skilled enough?

An important thing to note on applicants is that members vote on them as equals - nobody's vote counts more than the next member. It's almost impossible to get in with as few as 2 no votes. Activity can do it, but most people that don't make it either don't live up to the standard that the group requires or they don't mesh well with our members. Community is a huge deal to us.

And thanks, all, for the kind words. All the who's more awesomer stuff aside, it's been fun fighting with crews like AC, FC, and other elite VS outfits...as well as against the elite of other empires like HT, TRx, Overlords, Unleashed, 1CMM, etc. Looking back, it really has been an honor and blast, which will hopefully continue in PS2.

Great outfit, I know some of our members play with DT when they are on VS. The outfit is full of very cool respectful and humble guys that are very very good at planetside and FPS games in general.

I wish them the best of luck in Planetside 2 and if they stick to their mottos they will have no problems what so ever of becoming one of the best outfits out there.

I feel like quite a few players that were probably as good or better than a lot of members in DT individually were denied because either they went afk all the time when playing, ran off all the time to do their own thing instead of helping us, didn't get along with a lot of members during their trial, etc

A lot of people either wanted to just work with a group all the time regardless of what was going on, and a lot of people just want to get as many kills as possible regardless of what else was going on. I think DT was the best balance between the two, using teamwork to get a ton of kills and bep, but still accomplishing objectives, helping the empire, and hopefully humiliating as many people as possible along the way (i.e. bringing capitol shields up on red alerts). People that understood that usually fit in great, but some just strayed too far to either side and ended up either being unable to keep up skillwise or unable to contribute teamwise.

See, I knew I shouldn't have mentioned that with old people like you around! :p For the record tho, I'm fine with us pretending it didn't happen....

And Higby will have to fix dat Reaver before we go NC! Scythe rules currently.

Had a fun time mod running against them. Some members in my squad didn't believe me when I said we would have some TR trying to stop us with running mods to capital.

Reminds me of the old days when running an ANT you had to be careful of Spitfires and HE mines placed in the way before the CE auto decon.
