From what i understand, if your active; ie paying a monthly sub, then you don't have to install game. To them, you're an "active" player/payer and will get in tomorrow. Hope it helps.

The PS1 client is smallish (~1.6GB IIRC) so you can give it a try if you don't have a monthly bandwidth limit.

Tech test people get in automatically. Current subscribers get in with them on day 1 and old PS1 players who aren't currently subscribed get in after that.

Been playing Vanu in PS 1, but man im getting owned. I have died about 30 times to about 3-4 kills. Sucks!!! LOL

Anyways, i don't know what faction i will be playing in PS 2. I'm a flyboy at heart and love the look of the Scythe. Going towards that, but will try out all factions to make a concrete decision before game hits. :)

I think there is only so much you can do with the layout of the bases/facility's , the bases and facility's in PS2 will each have a different layout and be much larger with more room :)

Well, more of what I've noticed isn't with the layout (although PS1 does seem to be less open than what we've seen of PS2; PS1 is like "Hallways and Stairs: The Game,") but with people just pushing their way in without doing things like trying to clear with grenades, or open doors and fire in. Usually that means one or two enemies at the top of a staircase, or inside the door, can just cut people down and people outside can't fire in, because they risk grief points.

I've resigned to mostly standing outside with a BANK and repairing people. :)

I remember ww2ol having the same problem. Always turned into a "zerg quick" to base walls and camp until we can cap it. Hopefully the Devs will put in more outpost around bases to defend, so it will not be a mad rush to the main base.

Just an update: I didn't re-subscribe my PS1 account, but I am a PS1 vet and entered a PC Gamer key. Going to the " planetside2.com/download " link shows the "Download" button, but when I click it, it just says "This Account is Already Signed Up for Beta! No need to sign up again!"

Not griping or anything, just giving a status for somebody who didn't re-sub.

Oh, don't get me wrong Astrok. I'm quite fine with waiting. I was just letting everybody know that people who didn't re-sub or already had active subs didn't get in this round, as expected.

Panche, people been getting that same thing since Tech Test started. It's not new. It just means your account is not flagged to get in yet.
