For some reason the community has had a bit of a stall, anybody got any good reasons why?

All I've seen and heard is people bitching they didn't get into the tech test and that is about it. Of course Hamma has kept PSU in its "as always state" but come on. Nothing has surprised me recently.

WTF, get a fucking grip people. We are about to embark on the biggest gaming experience of our lives. Lets start making shit happen.

It's more likely that those in Tech Test are too busy playing to post much here and cannot speak of any Tech Test issues here. That pretty much leaves you with a lot of left overs who are upset that they are not in Tech Test.

Nothing more to discuss until we get in game. Everything has been bitched over, complained, praised, broken down and rebuilt as best we can with no hands on experience. I'm actually tired of reading the same stuff over or seeing completely useless topics like....if we can use our side view mirrors in game. Some pointless topic like that does not bring up amazing discussion.

You see the game is still in tech tests, so there is plenty of room for hype! And to be fair I see nothing from the community, I see loads from SOE and PSU, but not "you" guys, and that's why I'm posting here. The community has run dry. Or at least I have not seen anything but a few videos that will take this game to the next level.

Is there anything else rather than SOE and PSU that have put some good effort into PS2? PTV is currently waiting on news, that's why we are doing nothing. But that might change soon. And we are all about the community. So come on share your shit!!?....

All the things you want discussed are being discussed on the beta forums. As it was stated numerous times in this thread before, ideas and the game have been hashed out by most of us over and over. Now, we're all just waiting to play the game and give our feedback after playing it.

Yeah but playing is part of testing. Even if people don't write their own feedback to the devs that's a good sign someone is having fun isn't it not? You're more likely to be vocal on the forums if the game sucks, but if you're enjoying yourself you're too busy playing to care about that.

Not to mention SOE will get plenty of internal metrics to read off of. Beta is to design and test all the meta-game mechanics and by simply being there you're helping them a lot.

There are tech test forums? Strange, I never heard such a thing mentioned anywhere else. NDA seems like a more likely reason why they wouldn't be posting here about game specifics.

I also love how everyone assumes that people in the tech test must just be running around having a grand old time while those not in the tech test would instead be hard at work unearthing bugs.

c'mon, get a grip, seriously. Besides, the primary purpose of a tech test (stress test) is to evaluate the impact of players actions on the servers. Playing realistically is a more accurate representation of the load the servers will have to shoulder at a future point in time.

I guess I'll try to explain this a little further; a tech test is used to lay the groundwork for a beta test. What if SOE opened the beta floodgates and everyone piled on the servers only for everything to grind to a halt and become unplayable? can you imagine the rage? can you imagine the sheer number of threads titled "FAIL, SOE, SHOULD HAVE TESTED SERVERS BEFORE BETA".

Some of the people on this forum are either just ignorant or need a healthy dose of reality.

Its pretty obvious. Those outside Tech test are still taking and theorycrafting, those inside tech test would love to jump into discussion here, but cant because of NDA.

This is what happens with every Fan site Forum during a Beta. Natural thing. Wait till the NDa is lifted. :)

Full scale beta and NDA lift will solve what we have on PSU right now which is a mix of people who can't talk about the game and a mix of people still speculating about things.

I can't wait until Full Scale, and NDA lift.
