Can we please download PS2 on Sunday [Archive]

I know this is a tad late.

Monday at 2pm sounds a bit silly to me. I'm guessing a great deal of the first wave of beta invite(es) will be at work at 2pm on Monday. Could we download the needed files on Sunday so we can play it on Monday?

Am I the only one that feels Monday at 2pm PST is a strange choice?

Don't count on getting in the BETA on Monday there has been a statement priority keys will take 2-3 weeks to get in after Monday.

Also I would assume you will get your email ahead of time if you do in fact get invited to the beta but that is all speculation until they are sent out and is either confirmed by SOE or "speculated" by others who may or may not have gotten in :groovy:

Interesting...Perhaps I'm a bit simple but "Beta starts on Monday" seems to me to mean that some select players will start playing on Monday. Did these select few already download the client weeks ago?

Yes, Smed said that the players from the tech test will be getting back into beta on Mon.
And I do agree that there should be a preload but he said they aren't doing a preload.

teh tech test people will likely only have to patch their clients to the changes. so they will be in quicker then the rest.

Don't worry from what I have read the client is around 8.8 gigs you will be fine.

I would expect the downloads to start at 8AM PST on Monday.

8.8G? Should only take a couple hours, especially if we can download it through Steam prior to launching the LaunchPad to download any updates. (As I have a twitter key, I'm not expecting to get in for a couple more weeks, if they keep to the schedule they've announced - which sounds rushed to me)

Beta client probably isn't going to be on Steam this early on.
