If current subscribers was 500-1000 thats completely do-able but I've seen nothing but people posting about how they bought/resub'd these last few days following smeds statement.

Lets just say the # doubled and there are now 2000 current sub's (This number could be even higher I have no clue). Do you believe SOE will invite all of them on day 1?

I doubt it. PS1 still has no poplocks even with the incentive for people to activate to get into PS2.

IMO I doubt that the number of people paying and not playing is larger than the number of people paying and playing this weekend. So double the amount of peak users this weekend and you have a ballpark number of people subbed to PS1 currently.

Beta Key isn't instant access. If you aren't a current or former PS1 subscriber, or used a Key from PCgamer magazine it will probably be at least a week before you get in.

I haven't heard any word on when beta invites will actually be sent out. They said beta will start at 2PM PDT, perhaps when it officially starts is when they'll begin sending out invites.

PST is generally +7 to us. So 9pm U.K. time.

But lots of assumptions to the above. :p If they allow us to nab the client early there still might be a big load on the log in server they haven't anticapted and depending on numbers, us and servers, queues to get in.

Honestly it's the DST that screws everything up because some countries use it and some don't, but either way it's an arbitrary rule that screws with people's heads all the time.

well i know i get in today. and ive been waiting for ps2 for many years. yeah im excited.

I'll just go with whatever is needed instead of pigeonholing myself into something specific. Naturally I'll probably have something I'll end up preferring over others, but we'll see.

As for preloading client.. I got a 1mbit net, but luckily I have most of the client on my computer due to a friend coming by over a weekend and playing the test on my computer.. So it will only take me maybe a few gigabytes at max depending how much new thing is implemented before I get to play.

According to the Wiki here the Spitfire turret (automated one in PS1) makes a return, haven't seen any being used in the videos thus far though.

They may just be flagging them starting with the most recent. So older members will get the invite later, but will still get it.

Just stay cool until 9am pst. At that point, I would be a bit irritated as well, and I would get in contact with customer support to maker sure no glitches had happened with my account.

Honestly, IMO i found out the hard way the term "Vet" doesn't mean anything anymore

I didn't go through all the posts here but did see folks saying that some of them show ACTIVE in SOE subs for PS2 and can also download. I'd like to confirm that my account also says ACTIVE and I'm able to download now! :)

Just bought the game and a subscription, i got the confirmation email about 2 minutes before the cut-off. My account is flagged as inactive and i can't download.
