The Auraxis Global Outfit

The time of Planetside warfare is coming upon us. We, the Terran Republic, must be ready to fight and cooperate our forces through out all servers to dominate one of the greatest online games of all time. With enough support, the AGO (Auraxis Global Outfit) will do just that. There is a strength in numbers, and AGO will provide that strength with each participating, individual outfit.
AGO will prove to be the common ground for all Terran Republic
Soliders from all servers. This idea will provide us with the brute
force that will be needed to conquer those opposing us. Within AGO's website structure will be links to each participating Terran outfit, forums that will help spread ground winning tactics. Our web area will be dedicated to uniting the Terran Republic and focused on crushing the competition.
Of course, none of this would fall into play without the support and participation of the Terran Republic community. The AGO is constructed by the TR for the TR. We are a force to be reckoned with, boasting a begining total of eight outfits, boasting 244 total currently enlisted warriors and we have many more just now begining to learn about AGO and becoming a member of this organization.
The AGO is opened to any and every Terran Republic outfit, you simply need to go to our forums and post about your tribe. Over some evaluation by our current members (to be certain of the legitimacy behind your statements of your favored faction) you will become a member. I can not give a tremendous amount of details due to the current publicity that AGO will be recieving, but be sure to contact myself for further information if you and your outfit are interested in joining. AGO isn't one outfit, but an organization that unites seperate outfits in order to help support eachother. Your questions struck me as if you believed all who are part of AGO are in one outfit, which isn't the case.

Ok, I understand that AGO is designed to unite TR forces, will there be a specific command structure outside of individual outfits? For instance, will a CDL commander be able to direct forces of another outfit? Or is this just to make sure these 8 outfits will be able to coordinate attacks under the direction of individual outfit leaders?

The idea behind AGO was thought of by Manitou, I took that idea and tried setting up something for it, and DonkeySmiler played a large part in website scripting / setting up the forums. So CDL was there from the beginings, but in no way does the CDL hold any sort of power over the participating outfits.
Each outfit functions as their own but coordinate with allied TR forces under AGO. lol, that was my attempt to answer Civilian's question. In your scenario, i highly doubt that a CDL officer would be commanding another outfit. It goes against AGO's policy and it wouldn't seem right from both outfit's perspective if that was to occur.
The outfits are responsible for their own leadership, members, etc... which would be the case anyways, but AGO simply supports them and places them in contact with other TR outfits in order to coordinate attacks and such. As any Alliance would.

That answers my question. But just for the record I didn't mean to give the appearance that I was picking on CDL, that's just the only outfit that I am aware of as being part of this alliance(although, I know there are 8 per your post). I didn't mean specifically will CDL hold power over the other outfits, but if any outfit leaders would be able to direct grunts from another outfit, and you answered my question. Sounds like this alliance will be a force to be reckoned with.

I'm glad CDL is a part of the AGO, I look forward to fighting along side of all the other TR outfits. I just hope all the other TR outfits will consider participating with the AGO, in the very least, they should join and let everyone know when they plan on attacking, so the proper defenses can be placed :thumbsup:


ps. Another great thing about the AGO is that if someone joins the server and none of their other outfit mates are online, there should be no hesitation in them joining up with a squad from another AGO outfit. I think the interpersonal links that are established will not only drive this game, but make it fun!

That doesn't restrict 2 Outfits from letting each other borrow important personal when need it

ex. Outfit A needs to defend a "CITY" but they lack anybody that would provide a good defense because they have mostly assualt.
Outfit two could then step up and trade temporarly some assualt units for some snipers and medics, ect.

its all up to the Outfit Leaders how they want to take advantage of this alliance.

as i expected, we are the only West Coast Terrans there, im making a thread on trying to get all west coast terrans to join.

West Coast Terrans join the AGO and victory will be a rewards. All other outfits join as well.

Operation: Tactical Lightning will not be effective without more support. We need at least 50 people and our outfit is providing all 10 members, we are short 40! We got good stratigist and we all know what we are doing, most of us have been in command before! Join and 2-3 continents will be ours within a week!

I guess this is the first encounter I've had with a name that bugs me and I can't do shit about it, though I'm sure it will happen plenty in the game. What did the devs say? You can always shoot them, heh.

But I can't shoot the Auraxis Global Outfit, with words like outfit even though it isn't one, and global when it's faction based, and a title that sounds drived from the Auraxis Global Network which has (had?) a specific reputation for neutrality and fairness rather than factionality.

Great idea but the name seems remarkably poor taste to me. :(

Well, the 42nd Fire Ant Brigade has already been contacted by the AGO a while back. Ema, I don't know if it was you who contacted us, but the only reason we haven't given a full official reply is that we don't want to come out into the open until all of our members get a little more organized. The majority of our members are from the two Counter Strike clans Red Rocket and the Digital Mafia (I personally am not affiliated with DM) and from a few Quake and TFC clans. We will gladly be a part of the AGO as soon as possible. Our main server shall be the west coast. If we can actually pull all of this off, there will be some good tmes... good times. :trrocks:

My primary concern is how secure our method of communication will be once the game is released. I wonder to what extent people will go... for example, busting into a secure/private forum, etc.

I think we can keep it pretty secure Unico..... the AGO forum is mainly a place for TR soldiers to post ideas and tips, not necessarily distinct battle plans. The "real" business will be taken care of at private IRC meetings, over Teamspeak, and in the part of the forums only open to outfit leaders.
