[A little story, hope you devs and ps2 and readers like it :)]

The dust blows over the wide open dessert on the planet of Auraxis.
Two Vanu soldiers on guard duty have taken there places on one of the the walls guarding there base.
Smiling and lapghing they have no idea what they will soon be facing so one of the soldiers take up a cigarette and are just going to light it when he start to feel the very wall foundation vibrate.

He mumbles some words behind his face mask about that the new kids and then shout out in the mic.

WHO ORDERED MAG RIDERS ON MYYYY BATTLEFIELD!!!!!!!!

The younger soldier standing next to him, Still totally fresh from training school tell him:
But sir... SIR!!!! We don't have any MAG RIDERS in this area!!!

The more experienced VANU soldier freeze up and look out in the distance....
It lies empty and nothing special going on except dust playing its catch up game in the storm. He tell him self that maybe it was just an orbital strike far away that made the earth shatter a little bit under there feet.
Once he saw a orbital strike with his own eyes and that is something he never forget.

First the clouds have started to twirl up like a tromb was coming down from the sky, Then it was that blue shine above them, almost like blue flashes that had a personal war above the clouds, And with a sound that could make even the most battle warn soldier jump out of there boots a blue pillar of pure energy had come thru the clouds hitting the earth so hard that you thought it would crack the hole planet in part.

He had been standing approx 1km away and yet he felt the tremble as he stood under the light itself.
The light had stopped but nothing had happened, He remember that the young kids in the army he fought with back then were disappointed and said that the VANU officers and leaders put money in the wrong technology, Then the shock wave had hit them and made them litterly fly of there feat and land 3 meters away.
And after that it was total destruction, He stood 1km away and even at that distance the small rocks and boulders started to levitate from the ground itself for some seconds, It looked like they were floating 10cm of the ground before dropping down again, followed with the the explosion that he will never forget.

A white light so bright that even the heavy assault troopers with there tinted visor looked away.
It latterly made everything white as elephant horns and he remembered his father back at hearth telling him about his Great Great Grand Father that once had seen what was then called the great dooms day weapon: The nuclear bomb.
It have had a bright light when exploding but this was 100000 brighter.

He still looked out over the desert of the base that he was on guard duty off but because he didn't see anything he accepted the thought about the orbital strike and continued to smoke his cigarette.

The headset started to sparkle and a younger soldier from the walls across the base say in the mic:
"Sir - We have something he..." Then he cuts out, The younger soldier standing next to him now ask if he think there is something wrong, but just get the answer that its the storm on Auraxis that is the problem. The VANU government have placed so much technology in there weapons and vehicles but yet they can't even fix a radio to work in a storm.

He are just going to throw his cigarette away when he once again feel the wall start to tremble, this time a little bit harder and this time he actually think its kinda weird that they drop 2 orbital strikes so close to eachother.
There must be a great war on the other side of that mountain he once again tell him self and then throw away his cigarette.

The younger soldier that is a couple of seconds behind watch the white stick of cancer twirl thru the air when suddenly hitting something, He can't really say what it is but its like the air was hard just at that area.

He turns around to his experienced friend to tell him that there is something wrong here but he is just standing there, Not turning around or doing anything to show that he heard what he said. Then from out empty air he see light starting to bend around a human body standing in front of his friend, almost hugging him.

From the back of his friends armor he can see the light continue out in a sharp dagger and he realize that his friend is gone, As he turns around to grab his weapon behind him that he had placed on a part of the wall he see the air in front of him almost start to move. Then he feels a sharp pain just below his rib cage and in front of him a "infiltrator" is coming out from what looks the air it self. He fall down to the ground looking up on the Terran infiltrator that look down on him and then walk past him disappearing into thin air again.

Before he pass out he looks out in the distance of the dessert and now see that all around the base on top of the mountain ridges cloaked snipers showing up from thin air, first one, then two, then three and four.
He realize that they have just been watching them, inspecting there every move.

But what was that earthly tremble he had felt standing on the wall? ..
THERE out in the distance he can see the iconic double pipes of the mighty prowlers.
First one, then two and before he can count them there is twenty prowlers rolling towards the base.

So with his final strength in his body he push the speak button on his headset and scream with his last energy:

INCOMING ZERG TRAIN !!!!...Then He close his eyes and let his mind slip away. God help us all he think to him self as he breath out his final breath god help us all....

There's a lot of emphasis on cigarettes in this. Does Nanite Systems make those too?

This is an excellent story, but I think it should be done in a similar style as 50 Shades of Grey.

Nice read. Btw, VS soldiers don't fear death or pray to a deity. :)

And then they both mope because the NC come with a 2 to 1 odds and push them back to the warpgate. This story is now historically accurate

NC wishes the odds would remain even, but the TR and VS keep running away.

Bleh no. Not that book again >.<

IT could use a bit of editing in the opening post but interesting concept. +1
