when you are driving a vehicle, on the ground, will the controls be like with teh arrow keys, forward moved ahead, and left turns you to face a different direction, or will the mouse control your turning, similar to how halo's joystick made you change direction.
and for the air vehicles, will they control similar to battlefield1942, where i can use the wasd keys to control accel/turn, and the arrow keys for moving the whole plane like in spirals? or how is it supposed to work, maybe a beta tester or staff person could answer this for me?

im guessing it could be like tribes 2 where you could have a anolouge stick hooked up asnd you could swap between them .

Well, I'm not sure about this but I know that you can use a joystick for flight, if you don't use a joystick probably mouse control. Landing is automated. With ground vehicles I'd assume arrow keys, hold forward/back and press left/right to turn.

Actually in an interview with dave he states that some ground vehicles will handle differently than others. I think he said some vehicles are WASD by default while others use the WASD to turn the turret and use mouse to steer, etc. I don't know exactly but it will proabably be the same as most games with vehicles.

Landing isn't automated. I'd assume that you could use either a mouse, keyboard or joystick for ground and air vehicles.

Landing is automated, press a button to descend, and one to stop. Thats how they explained it.

landing isn't automated any more, when they first made the game they had it automated, you push a button one time to go down and then push the same button to go up, you couldn't control the ship during landing and lifting off.
they thought it was boring that way so now you just push a button to descend and a different one to go up, it just slows you down enough to make a safe landing, when you're close to the ground, if you're going too fast to land. other than that you can now go up/down as fast or as slow as you want, from what i understand

Its still pretty automated. Ever try landing in BF1942? That sucked, this will be stop holding up and push c i believe. No landing gear, no braking, just go down.

Ya guys cant even land, geez! Flight Simulator after Flight simulator, and even T2 or somthing, just putting the friggin vehicle on the ground is a sinch!
The controls will probly be the arrow keys for movement and the mouse will be the turret.....if it was the other way around where would the throttel be on the mouse (dont say right or middle button)?

Aw hell, landing vehicles in these games are a sinch compared to flight sims. U try landing a 747-400 at night with 50ft view range.

Well the dificultest thing i've done is landing on an aircraft carrier, and landing in a firefight only cause i needed more fuel.

I once flew a paper airplane.
Only thing I am really curious about in terms of controls is if there will be rudder controls on the aircraft or not. Would really suck if there isn't :(

i think the planes aren't really like planes in this game, they're like jet aircraft, futureistic. like they can fly straight up and the turn sideways while hovering and stuff, i'm not sure but i think they're more future geared, like they don't have to go down a runway and gain speed to takeoff, they just go straight up.

As SmokeJumper said, the flight controls are "Similar" to Tribes 2. All aircraft are VTOL (Can take off and land Vertical) you can hover, weave in between trees (If you dare) or even stay off at a distance and just "scout" enemy convoys and positions.

The graphics own counterstrike. My screenshots tomorrow will show the game in some seriously high detail.

In other wordsthey should fly like a helicopter. For me this is some good news because flying helos to me is like walking down the street (just without being connected to the ground).
