What kind of Radar are we looking at in this game? (don't be an idiot, i've seen screenshots) But, are we looking at Halo-type radar? People only visible when they're moving? I've also heard talk of it, but does someone with an infiltration suit show up on radar? A wraith(with an inf driver)? Clear distinction between allies and enemies? Clear distinction between vehicles and infantry? Clear distinction between a basilisk, a Vanguard, a mosquito and a galaxy?
This seems pretty important, radar, I beleive will be ridiculously useful, anyone who doesn't use it well.... doesn't play well.
im not sure about most of it but i'm pretty sure you won't be able to see cloaked units on your radar....as that would inda defeat the purpose of being cloaked....
EDIT: I remember seeing a radar of whena galaxy was being loaded and you could clearly tel that it was a galaxy on the radar, by the shape that it made....would find it and psota link but i'm too lazy:D

Without a certain implant (Can't remember the name right now), you can't see enemies on the radar. With the implant, you can hear their footsteps louder and from further away, and it positions them on the radar.

All vehicles but the Wraith show up on your radar (the radar actually has fairly short range). No enemy soldiers show up unless you're using the Audio Amplification implant, and even then, there are conditions.

Only the wraith is hidden from radar, along with Infiltration suits. Yes the radar is pretty short range, what fun would it be if you knew where every enemy was and could stop every assualt? It wouldn't be. The Galaxy has a very distinct look on the radar, troops are arrow like things, vehicles I'm not sure. You need the audio amplifier to see troops on radar, but if there running you can hear them better without it.
I think radar will be very simple. it will give scouts more to do, ect. Like the army has radar, but it's not world wide, and it doesn't work on people. What would be the fun in that?

I noticed that the radar didn't rotate when you changed direction. Your dot on the radar would just point different directions. I like the other way where the map rotates as you turn. I doubt the inf suit will show up on radar, that would kind of defeat the purpose. In Tanarus, another sony game, the cloaked tanks wouldn't show up on radar unless the enemy had a special item that would allow them to see cloakers on radar. Maybe one of the certs or implants will allow you to see cloakers on radar.

No enemy infantry shows up on the radar unless you're using a audio mag implant or theres a motion sensors in the area...
Friendlies show up on the radar tho.. not sure if thats all friendlies or squad/platoon only.
Any friendlies in range show up on the radar, squad/platoon friendlies have a different "icon" on the radar than other friendlies.
