That will make you run the game on high settings with 45+ FPS most of the time. Enjoy it!

My new rig should come today:

Intel Core i7 3930K - Will OC it up to around 4.6 Ghz
GeForce GTX 580 - scavenged from current PC
32GB (4x8GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance
Asus P9X79 Pro, Intel X79
2x120GB Corsair Force Series SSD in RAID 0
750W Corsair Enthusiast Series CMPS
Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H60
2TB Seagate Barracuda 7 - for storage

Will FINALLY be able to play PS2 as it should be, everything on full.. Instead of what i have now, which is around 10 FPS. Full resolution fraps etc without even a hitch :).

Not upgrading until its out & i`ve played it .
Got sucked into the Battlefail 3 hype & wish I hadn't.

So sticking to my trusty old rig for now

AMD 965 3.7
8 gig ddr3 1600
901/4500 6850`s CF
M4A89GTD PRO
750 w psu
1 250 drive with 1 TB storage

May chuck in my two 6850`s for a single 7950 3 GB Vram

Holy RAM SnipeFrag :p

Haha, your not the first person to say that... Might have gone slightly over the top with the RAM. But it wasn't that much more, thinking about the future :). Should help with video editing and lots of other stuff. Might RAM disk PS2 so i can load continents and the game instantly just for shits and giggles :D.

Just out of pure curiosity, have you clocked the 680 vs. 7970 with gpu acceleration turned on? It's not a default setting in PS2 but ever since I turned it on my 660ti is eating infants. (In a good way)

Negative have not clocked it, gonna see how it performs. I tried .bf3 on ultra and it hammers it ezy

Nice rigs :).

I just built mine in March but thinking about upgrading the GPU and ram and using the replaced parts to upgrade the other computer for my kids so they can play with me. Can't wait for tax time to come around again. It's like a second x-mas for computer parts:groovy:.

My rigs:

Laptop:

I'm hoping I can max it out and get a decent framerate between 35-60:

14 inch 1366*768
i7 2630QM 2.00ghz
8GB DDR3
Nvidia GT 550M
500GB 7200RPM HDD
Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate
$820

I don't really care about AA, so I can turn it off if it helps.

Hopefully I can max it with my laptop, so I don't need to install it on my desktop, which is

i5 2500K 3.3ghz
ATI Radeon 5870x2 1GB VRAM Crossfired
16GB DDR3
250GB + 160GB + 160GB 7200RPM HDD
1050W PSU
$800

I'll ask here too... can my laptop max it out (without AA)? I want to be able to play on the go, at my university when I have nothing to do etc. If all else fails, I'll play on my desktop which afaik will max it out since 2 5870's = 1 7970
