Hi all,

don't know if I'm being dense, but I've certed in flashlight for my Heavy Assault, and added it in the rail slot - but there seems to be no way to turn it on!

The keybindings seem not to have an entry for light or utility slot... anyone know what it is, or is it just not implemented yet?

I'd like to know this, too.

I think it's the "L" key, or so I was told. I haven't used it because I have killed lots of enemies who do switch it on. Makes them very easy to see at night.

It hasn't been working as far as I can tell. Unless they fixed it yesterday(I last tried to use it on sunday and it didn't work).

No player-based light sources are working atm (flashlights, vehicle headlights), for me at least. I've seen them working fine on some livestreams though.

That could be true - I haven't seen it for weeks.

Vehicle headlights and player weapon flashlights were working in the tech test but are not currently working on beta. More than likely there's some issue that's being worked on.

For example, the hacking mechanic was removed because there was a nasty bug cropping up when people hacked points. The King of the Hill mechanic was put in as a placeholder.

Once optimization gets closer to being where it needs to be, I think we'll see more stuff like these game mechanics and balance being addressed with greater frequency.

Lights work on the model. I activated the light in my lightning with the L key. I don't see it casting any real light however ATM. So the only thing it really does is give away your position at night.

Great info! I didn't know that due to not being in tech test looks like...

Whoops I misspoke. They were working in the E3 and PAX demos, not the tech test.

Never noticed that, good observation.

Thanks to 3rd person view, on vehicles you can test this. For gun flashlights you'll have to ask your buddies. :)

Can you see it now???

You're supposed to rinse it out before the first use and after each use, with warm water and a mild soap. Then allow it to dry before putting the batteries in.

Oh wait, you said "flashlight".
