SUPPORT PAY TO WIN

You PAY some money to the most awesome game of the decade so that they have revenue to keep adding content and we all WIN!

Here's MY money. The cheap and broke asses can still ride the coattails of my cash. I need targets.

Kewl. With whales like you, 10 other people won't need to pay anything for SOE to make money hand over fist! Well, that is if those 10 other people are happy playing Fodderside 2.

At the GDC I had suggested the same thing as a Founder's Package, but for only $400.

You should get shares and voting rights for that!

I would be willing to pay good money for some founder's privileges. I wouldn't want any of those privileges to give me an advantage in game though.

They are giving station cash in the Founder's Package. That does give you an advantage out of the gate cause you get to buy the side-grades before anyone else. But, you should get them, you paid for them and SOE needs to make money on the game.

Oh well, I guess p2w is always too tempting a profit-generator to pass up. I would omit that perk alone on my package if there were a founder's title or something that specified as such. I think that would have been cool and I would be proud to display it.

I'm going into Day 1 with 24,000 SC. 4000 from Alpha and I paid $100 on double SC weekend for 20,000 SC. I work really hard during the day and this is my hobby. I don't play golf. People spend tons of money to buy better golf balls and better clubs. I'm glad I can finally spend money on my hobby that will make me better than others. Do I need to apologize for having the money to spend on it when other dont? I don' t feel that I do as I made decisions in my life that have gotten me to a point where I can spend $140 on a video game. I'm perfectly ok with being rewarded for those decisions by having a bigger gun than others. I know I suck so killing people because I bought a bigger gun is somehow very rewarding to me.

Why are you do defensive about this? I just don't see anyone caring. It's on a website dedicated to the game that is your hobby.

It isn't even pay to win. Pay to be the first with certain items, pay to look pretty, pay to accumulate points faster. None of that is going to make somebody a better shot, or improve their tactics. Heck, it may reduce their potential to have fancy specialized toys before they know why they would wanna use them, and how to use them best.

I'd have to say that the Founder package was a bit cheap in my opinion. Especially when games like Mech Warrior roll out with like 120$ packages, etc.

If you still have money to throw at them there will probably be 3 pretty expensive editions with a MAX figurine, not to mention SOE live.

While I realize devs need to get paid, it doesn't mean I have to like the business model. I don't like pay-to-win and I really don't like some PR stooge trying to tell me how to define pay-to-win so it doesn't encompass their pay-to-win game.

EGOPIG was trying to be funny, Alpha Squad isn't actually pay to win.
