I know at least a few folks on the forums are from San Antonio. Anyone know where I can easily find some mochi icecream? Took the wife to a place in Vegas not long ago that served it and thought I'd see if I could find some locally. Specifically, I'd like the red-bean version, but I'll be happy if I can find any at all.

I'm going to try and swing into an asian market I know about over on Marbach, but I'm thinking they're mostly Chinese and Korean. Not sure if they'll have much in the way of Japanese stuff or not. I looked at my local HEB and didn't see it, but I wasn't really expecting to.

If anyone in the area has seen it somewhere, and wouldn't mind chiming in, I'd appreciate it greatly! =)

Google. One of those useful search tools.

Yeah, I saw those. I meant more like a store, though.

But no worries, I found read a couple recipes and it doesn't look like it'll be too hard to make them from scratch as the ingredients are all very accessible.

I was just in San Antonio. My buddy is stationed at Lackland, and I'm at Ft. Hood. It's a nice city.

Definitely a cool town. That's why I decided to stay after I finished up my time in the Army. Plus, Texas loves Vets and goes out of their way to make life easy for them. =)
