The shape doesn't remind me of any of the PS1 conts, but Esamir didn't look like the original either. It's probably Amerish.

Amerish comes next then after that likley Searhus. T-Ray mentioned it in one of the interviews this week.

Since they're all squares, could it be because they're limited in terms of creativity since the water isn't finished in the engine yet?

That and bandwith. Seeing as they have no official date for open beta there's plenty of time to make it seamless before launch. I'd love to see this go on for another year and really polish the game.

The 'official' word, iirc, was they made all the conts square to maximize the amount of playable area on each map. After all, the glorious Hex system needs its space. ;)

PS maps are classics. I loved those maps ans Searhurs was my favorite cont. I wish they would update them into PS2. :(
