Hey all,
I haven't been blessed with an alpha key yet, so my knowledge of PS2 is limited to youtube movies for now. I'm anxious to learn more about how the sequel to a game I devoted so many years is turning out. So I've got a couple questions for you guys...
1- Are there any guns with scopes?
I absolutely hate "aiming down the sight". I hate it to the point I won't use a gun without a scope even if it does triple the damage of a scoped gun.
Unfortunately, all the guns I've seen so far follow the modern shooter trend - extremely inaccurate, no scope, recoil through the roof.
So are there any gun options for those of us who prefer to use stable, accurate, scoped rifles? Guns that feel like the old pulsar/gauss/cycler.
2- Are MAXes just regular infantry with extra health now?
Can MAXes be killed using regular guns now? I loved the way you had to use AV or switch to AP bullets to do any kind of damage to MAXes in the past. From the videos, I had the impression that this is no longer required.
Also, since there are no REKs anymore, can MAXes open doors, capture facilities on their own, without support?
3- Classes. I find it very depressing, but it was inevitable that it would go this way. Can you at least customize the classes to cover multiple roles? For instance, can a heavy assault guy eventually buy a cert that allows him to repair things?
Speaking of certs, do you still need them to use weapons, vehicles, and etc? Or can you just buy anything and everything now if you have resources?
4- TTK. I guess it's not much of a question, as the answer is clear and I've already seen it from youtube and the threads here about it. So PS2 is more like a "modern shooter" where you can get killed in a split second, and headshots make it worse? Please tell me snipers can't oneshot everyone.
5- Vehicles. Similar question to #2. Do you still need AV weapons to take out vehicles, or do they have tinfoil armor now, like UT / BF games? I was quite upset to see you can use main battle tanks all by yourself, the driver/gunner concept is gone. Are there at least some multi-crew vehicles out there? I should probably check the wiki before I ask this here. :P
Thanks in advance for the answers. :)
