The engine look really increadible on high settings. what impresses me the most is the draw distance and the haze effect, and the fact that everything is dynamic , no baked hdri and shit. congrats to the devs. PC EXKLUSIVE ftw, about damn time btw

The graphics are ok but it is still buggy at some point. E.g. Not all textures work properly.

The graphics are okay, but far away from amazing. The lighting is very good, but the textures and animations are not even on console standards. Plus everything in the distance starts to blur out... For a 2012 PC only game it's not that good looking.

I have. I even turned on the ultra textures through the useroptions.ini. Still, many textures look like from 8 years ago. Crysis 1 on pc looked better and is from 2007, it's just the truth.

High looks fantastic. People are always expecting graphics to be next gen and for it to look great and run at 120FPS on hardware from 2002. Considering what is being accomplished scale-wise, the technical engineering behind Planetside 2 is impressive indeed.

Low resolution textures, bad animations and an overall very blurry appearance have nothing to do with scale.

Were you expecting Crysis or something? It's an MMO, scale is a factor and there is a lot of it here. Maybe you missed it. Where is this "very blurry" you speak of?

It looks good both from a technical standpoint and artistically. I really like the lighting effects, the environments and how each of the factions look.
