Lot's of good fixes out this week.

First a couple known issues we'll hotfix asap:


Weapons are not purchasable in the marketplace, but are in the Cert trees
The Dalton and Tank Buster, Liberator weapons, are not purchasable from Cert trees


Headlines:


Infantry and vehicle weapons are unlocked with cert points instead of Auraxium
Auraxium rewards were removed from the game
Cert points are earned with every 250 experience points instead of 1000 experience points
Gameplay implants were removed, will return later as a loadout slot
Weapon medals grant cert point rewards


Top Player Bugs Resolved:


Frame rate shouldn't affect fire rate
Infiltrators should not be able to fire while cloaked
Ability system improvements to help protect against abilities getting stuck on or off
Ammo boxes and mines should be more responsive
Fixed an issue where players would get into a semi-dead state
Resolved an issue where players would log in or spawn at a location in the middle of the zone
Platoons should no longer get in a broken leaderless state
Players should no longer spawn at zero health
Removed a case where players could get weapons into an unusable state
The heal and repair tools now have sticky targeting


Weapons:


All shotgun damage and range has been reduced
TR shotgun rate of fire is a little slower, but it is still the fastest shotgun
Projectile drop was slightly increased


Vehicles:


Damage of Rocket Pods, Lightning 75mm, 40mm Grenade Launchers and Liberator 105mm cannon increased against Main Battle Tanks
Flak damage reduced by ~5%
Repair tool is now 25% slower on vehicles
Liberator health increased by 10%
A tuning pass has been done on tank turret controls. They should feel more responsive.
Range of Scout Radar on Flash has been reduced
Galaxy acquire timer is now 20 minutes instead of 30


Certs:


Scout Radar certification is now 4 ranks. Maximum range reduced to 200 meters
Galaxy acquire timer certifications now capable of reducing timer to 5 minutes
Mineguard certifications are now 4 ranks


Misc:


Queues for logging in to full servers or zones (no more having to spam the play button or warp button)
Client performance optimizations

Is this already active? If so what happens to any AUX that we had saved up?

The patch is live, not sure what happened to any Auraxium you had saved up I'm afraid. Most likely either converted to Cert Points, or simply removed without any trade-off.

Saved Auraxium was not converted to certs, its wiped.

Dangit, oh well i only had 3.5k saved up ha, sucks for anybody that was close to saving up for a 10k purchase lol

Not to fond of the shotty nerf unless it only inlcuded the common pool shotty and not the JH. As it was the Nighthawk was better than the JH, so im hoping they just made nighthawk worse so the JH feels like a real HA weapon, but im sure JH was nerfed also, sigh.....

Thankfully i had just spent mine not too long ago. :p

Anyway, the increased cert gain made me feel that buying the few attachments i wanted won't be so much of a chore anymore, but now i'll have to decide between that or saving up to test a shotgun. I suppose that's their intention, less currencies to simplify things but making you have to choose between stuff so you don't get everything too fast.

Im at work right now, but are you guys saying that the server has been wiped again or just auraxium. I just purchased my lasher :(

There hasn't been a character wipe, they just removed Auraxium.

Very happy I decided to spend my 5k on the shotgun last night! At least I got something for it! These are great notes. Patch is 2GB, in case anyone is curious.

why did they nerf the skyguard,it already took more then one clip to drop a mossie scyth and reaver,then they also increased the armor on the lib

BOOOOOO!!!!,thats all i have to say,now there is going to be even more air to deal with

Well from what my outfit says its still good without being too OP. Takes 2 shots instead of 1.

Another patch, same or more broken stuff. Ammo boxes broken, turrets still broken and now turrets are inverting in controls on me. Not to mention the server lag and people still disappearing when Population is high.

Is it just me or do they seem to just not be getting anywhere with some of these game breaking bugs or, at the very least, this stuff keeps breaking after every patch. This may be beta, but what is the excuse going to be when they go live and stuff keeps breaking every patch>

Well that's why the rate of new patches will slow dramatically after launch. Cause they wont be able to get away with breaking lots of stuff an will have to spend more time on quality assurance. That's what worries me with Smed sticking to the idea of a 2012 launch. That means within 2 months, and i'm not sure it's ready.

Yeah, that.

We're not going to get a patch every week with n more in the works after release. Right now, we are the testers so we see the bugs. After release, someone else will be the testers and they'll get to deal with finding the bugs before the post-release patches go live.
