Planetside Forum Game

Hi all,
Long term lurker, very occasional poster here.

Would anyone be interested in trying a forum game that had a Planetside theme? I'm not talking about these daft "ruin the last poster's dream and then post your own" threads. I'm thinking about something a little bit more complicated.

Would this be permitted? Willing to give it a try?

Here are the rules:

1: These are the rules of the Planetside Forum Game. Every Player of the Planetside Forum Game must abide by these rules.
2: Everyone who replies to this post is a Player
3: A Player may propose amendments to the rules
4: A Player may vote Yes or No to other players proposals.
5: Each Player may only vote once on each proposal made by other players.
6: As soon as a proposal receives either three Yes votes or three No Votes:
6a: If a proposal receives three Yes votes, the rules are amended as stated. The new change or rule is effectively immediately. no more votes are counted. The player who made the proposal gains one point.
or
6b: If a proposal receives three No votes,it is immediately rejected and the rules are not amended. No more votes are counted.


And here is a proposal from me to start the ball rolling:
Add the following rule:
2b: A player must declare themselves as belonging to one of the following factions:
The Vanu Sovereignty
The Terran Republic
The New Conglomerate

Are people not interested, or did my post make no sense?

I've run Nomic games on a couple of forums. Sometimes they work, sometimes not.

I vote No to your proposal because it is not vry Planetside related and would be impossible to verify.

I vote no because leap frogging takes multiple people and I don't have the spare time needed to clone myself.

I vote no to Captain1nsaneo's proposal. Reason: It's too early to start adding self cancelling rules and paradoxes.

Proposal:
Amend the rules by changing every occurance of the words 'point' and 'points' with 'cert' and 'certs' as appropriate.


Current state of Play:

Catfart, Realmofdarkness and Captain1nsaneo have declared themselves players. No one has scored any points.

There are three proposals needing votes:
Realmofdarkness's proposal has 2 No votes
Captain1nsaneo's proposal has 1 No vote
Neither of Catfart's proposals have any votes.

No proposals have been rejected or accepted.

A valid point, and one which I asked myself. Which is why I asked Hamma for permission before I posted. The reason I didnt put it in the lounge is because the lounge didnt seem very Planetside orientated.

If Hamma feels it would be better there, I'm happy forhimtomove it.

Here I thought this would be a drinking game where every time someone starts a thread about something being "OP" or hating on SOE, in the PS2 forum, we take a drink.

Of course there wouldn't be winners in this game. Only drunk losers and plastered losers. :lol:
