I strongly hope it's a placeholder, but the current 8x and 10x scopes (at least for NC) look like they belong to the VS. Most of the lens is blank, with a small green dot in the center with a small, green vertical line directly underneath and two more pointing to the upper left and upper right.
The issue is the lack of a decent reference point when engaging targets over 100-150 meters away. The default NC infiltrator scope is more or less what I expect to see. It uses horizontal hash marks to indicate the aim point based on the user's estimated distance. Something like this should especially be used on the scopes with stronger magnification.
What I would really like to see is hash marks that appear to be the same length from left to right as that of the distance between a target's shoulders when directly facing the shooter. This is used on several scopes in the real world, and would be extremely helpful here.
