Books!
What you're reading.
Best you've read.
On the list to read.
etc etc etc.
Right now I'm reading John Fante's Wait Until Spring, Bandini and I just finished The Once and Future King by T.H. White for English. The first half was boring, but Books III and IV were pretty good. I plan on reading Journey to the End of the Night by Celine next, or maybe The Human Comedy by William Saroyan.
My favorite book right now is Ask the Dust by John Fante. Previous to that it was probably Nine Stories by Salinger or maybe one of Palahniuk's books, if I could pick a favorite. Oh oh oh, I almost forgot, Still Life With Woodpecker by Tom Robbins was awesome, even if the picture of him in the back was honestly the most awkward thing I've ever seen.
Anyway,
What about you guys?

I'm mostly into Fantasy/Fiction and Sci-fi. My favorite author is Phillip Pullman for the "His Dark Materials" series. Golden Compass/Subtle Knife/Amber Spyglass.
Right now I'm reading "Ship of Magic" a fantasy novel about sentient ships/wood.

Interesting subject.
Nowadays, I am reading a variety of J.R.R. Tolkien books, and other Fantasy novels. Currently, I am reading a short Tolkien novel, which was once a tale he told his children called Farmer Giles of Ham. Basically, it is a story about a man (Farmer Giles) who somewhat-accidentally drives a giant away from his fields, and the people of Ham immedaitely believe that he is a hero. The King then sends him on dangerous adventures, even though he is a coward. I suppose you'll need to read it to understand what I'm talking about. It's confusing at first, mainly because it is very different from Tolkiens other novels, considering that the dogs in this tale talk.
Also, I've picked up random novels that seem interesting, and read snippets from them. Previously, I've read: The Treason of Isengard, The War of the Jewels, Sauron Defeated, and The Book of Lost Tales, all written by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Yeah, so, that's what I've been reading. I love reading! And writing, but that is another story.

Check out John Fante's Ask the Dust. It's a fast read and definitely worth it. And Bukowski, dirtiest of all dirty old men turned writers, does the forward.

Dune series from Frank Herbert and about like 200 other sci-fi fantasies back a long time ago.
Now I read web sites on the internet and news, forums, those little story lines on one side as the porn is loading, stuff like that now.
So I assume you actually meant NOVELS like stories or any 'BOOKS' which could also be considered articles on the internet because thats my cup of tea now. Discovery.com and the such......

I've been trying to read Dune, but I just can't get into it. >.<
I've been thinking about starting up on Shadow Puppets by Orson Scott Card instead...need to get back into a regular habit of reading.

I read all Lord of the Rings books and will never read another J.R.R. Tolkien again. What was it, like 30% of all the books talked about the scenery. I liked getting to know the characters so well, and they acted as I thought they should, but damn all the useless reading of the scenery.
My favorite book so far is Without Remorse by John Clancy.
P.S. I haven't read too many books.
I don't read books for amusement. I don't have the patients...
lately?

Also the Entire Honor Harrington Serries by David Webber and

I'm with you on Pullman, Fire Monkey. That was a damn good series.
Right now, I'm reading The Wishbones by Tom Perrotta. It's good. Um... my favorite "classic" book is All Quiet on the Western Front; it's about the only classic I've ever liked.

Anne Rice is a sick bitch. Extremely perverted as well.
