You could always wait until they do this again sometime after release. I usually try to get in on these deals and I'm sure this won't be the last time they do it. Keep in mind that SC is used for other games as well, not just PS2 :).

If you really want to maximize the station cash, buy some station cash cards at Wal-mart. With the tripling you get 6,000 cash for $15. Wal-mart has 500 bonus cash on their $15/1500 station cash cards..... It's like getting quadruple cash!

I don't believe these multiplier deals affect cards. When you buy a card, you purchase "$15" worth of SC, which will be the standard rate. If I'm wrong, please say, but I believe that is how they work.

For sure? no, but it's a safe bet that it will not triple the 4000sc you get as part of alpha squad. Imagine the uproar from those of us that bought it as soon as it came out.

Can you use Station Cash for subscriptions? I thought you use to be able to in EQ2, perhaps in PS2?

EDIT: Doesn't look like it... I just went through EQ2 sub and I couldn't find a way to use Station Cash. Must just be using code on the card or something. As you may be able to tell I have never bought a card before.

They didn't sell alpha squad for Station cash because the discount lower SC's actual value (people tend to stock up during sales like today). For the same reason I expect them not to sell subscriptions for SC.

Get a grip...PS2 isnt the only game that acceps station cash.

I really like the way sony is thinking, I think further down the line when we see outfit owned and manufactured bases. If they wanted to they could start implementing a player economy, Smed has already mentioned that mineable resources may happen..If modeled somewhat after EVE, these resources could be used to make better weapons that would have to be purchased (think T2), I think that would really deepen the sandbox, even if these higher tech weapons were only able to be used on the continents where the player owned bases were (0.0)
