sorry about the stupud questions but...
when u progressivly evolve into new things (i got no idea wich order or nuthing) do u become what ever you r specialised at, eg: if u do engineering stuff, do u trun into a guy with a different suit than someone who does attacking fighting? and once u reached the statuses can u turn back into anything?
sorry for another one of "Slap Nuts Stupid Comments"

okay I dont understand quite, but if you want an reinforced armour u can get it, and u can carry whatever you want in one of thoose.
If you do engineer certifications you get 2 have the BANK and nano dispenser, if you get medic certifications you get 2 have the medkit and medical applicator,
but theres 2 steps in the certifications, one is basic medic and one is advanced medic, you get 2 use the medkit in basic medic and medical applicator in advanced medic, but you have to do the basic medic first b4 u do the advanced medic stuff.
U got different armours, reinforced, infiltration, max armours and standard.

I guess what your trying to say is:
As you specialise in your certifications, does your appearance change in accordance with the chosen certs?
Answer to that is I dont know :)

I believe as you lvl up your color on the armor changes over time.
Of course depending on the type of armor you're wearing it'll look different.

your actual armor only changes with Command Rank. but in a way yes your different certs do change your apperance because what youre carrying equipment wise does show on your avatar but other then that no change for battle rank

No i doubt it all that happens is that as u lvl up ur color changes into ur primary color.

If you get enough CEP, you turn into a butterfly

And Slapnuts Planetside has but a few RPG aspects, there are no classes or other RPG stuff like that. If you specialize in engineer stuff you still have the same look and weapons as others and probably most of the same skills(certs, implants) and you can change those skills at anytime (although there is a time limit between changes).
From what I have read your armor stays the same, but as your CEP grows the color of your armor changes slightly.
BEP changes color of armor to secondary color. CEP adds kneepads.

I have a feeling the TR and NC will find those kneepads come in veeeeery handy.

CEP adds more than just kneepads :p

NC and TR -- CEP rank grants Kneepads, then a neck brace.
I have to think that those are related.

Not sure if Hamma is making the mental connection I am between those items . . . I find it hilariously funny; one of the devs may have had a sense of humor when he came up with that.
Shin/kneepads . . . then a neck brace . . . lol.

By the time you reach the highest commanding level, you're awarded with a very large groin protector. :brow:

first off, i dunno what a CEP or whatever is.
but anyway, at the start, do u get to choose what guy u look like?
eg: in Vanu there is a guy with heaps of armor all in purple with shoulderpads and a motorbike helmet compared to this other guys who is black with purple cheast pads and a wierd looking mask.
so do u get to choose between them? and turn into a MAX later? or what?

Well Slapnut, your questions put you in one of two places...
1) You are an idiot
2) You are incredibly lazy
I'll let you pick.

Come on, not so hard on him. It's hard for a 6 yrld in a forum now a days.

Those colors are the differnet empires, VS is purple, NC is blue and yellow, TR is red and black. So yes, you get to choose your empire when you start. CEP's are just the command structure.

i know about the empires, i mean, do u get to choose your character guy, what he looks like etc

Besides shoulder pads... does anyone know what else is added for commanding ranks?

That is probably a lvl5 commander. I think (just going from what I know)

This is probably a silly question, but do the commanding levels go up to level 20 as well? If that was indeed a level 5 commander, it seems a level 20 commander would be one huge block of armor. :D

CR is 1-5
I think alot of you are missing something about Slpnuts questions that is majorly humorous.
Slapnut, you do not turn into anything nor do you choose what you look like besides choosing your gender and your face when you start the game. This is not an RPG. You simply go to a station and choose what sort of armor you want to wear for that moment and it'll slap it on to you and you will look the same as anyone else wearing that same armor. You don't turn into these things but rather you choose what you want to wear whenever you want. Think of certifications as permission slips that you are awarded from time to time in which you choose what paticular thing you want that permission slip to allow you to do. Once you've done that you can now at any time choose between those things that you chose whether it be different weapons or armors are whatever. For instance if you got say 2 certs for being such a great dude in game then you can choose to make one cert allow you to wear reinforced armor and the other cert to allow you to wear agile armor. Now when you want you can choose between these two armors at any time by simply walking upto a station and putting on which ever one you choose.
Conclusion: You don't morph or evolve into anything like you may do in RPGames.
