I certed the IR scope a week ago but finally got to use it last night. Let me just say I love that scope. At night I can clearly see the targets and discern them from the terrain. No more muzzle flash blindness or what not.
Bad side is you can’t see the bullet tracers. Also, if you’re a long range shooter this scope works up to medium range after that it’s a dark zone.
At any rate give the scope a try it’s awesome!
Id like to hear what you all think about it. See you on the field ;)

Eh, Me personally I liked the old one where you actually had the red in it. It was amazing as a sniper.
never got to use one until recently. that to me (red heat signature) would seem to make a lot more sense

In the short time I've played Infiltrator with the IR Scope, it was amazing as a night-time scope. The red signature I found was an excellent contrast the white and gavea clear nighttime picture.

What's funny is this scope is essentially Dark Light vision from PS1. You can see through smoke, and see cloaked Infiltrators. But just like Dark Light the vision range is very limited.
Because of this I really want them to add a regular 4x Night Vision scope. Just plain green tint no special powers just let me see in the dark.

That is until they run into a bush or some foliage.
Then it's all white on white and nigh on impossible to see.
Must be some really hot vegetation on Auraxis to hide the heat signature of a human :D

Can anyone describe daytime use of this scope? I know people wouldn't purposely use it during the day, but sometimes the night to day transition happens so quickly.
For example, is it even useable during the day or is the image washed out?

Doesn't look any different to me on my Pulsar during day or night.

Did anyone notice the nerf they gave this sight right before the beta ended? I loved the sight before, it was crisp and clean, nice distinctions between objects. Now it has horizontal lines across the every object that is not a person, this is really messing with my eyes. I hope they put it back the way it was.
On that note though i'm still using it over the other ones as it's still way better, just makes my eyes water whenever i'm sighted in :(

Yes I noticed it - it literally hurts my eyes :-(

I find gimmicky crutches like the IRNV just ruining games, but even I can't say that change was needed. It didn't affect balance, it just causes eye-strain so they might as well revert it back.
