View Full Version : The map and bio lab launch points

One thing I noticed while assaulting a bio lab that I found annoying is that you can't tell from the map where the launch points are to getting on the flight deck. The tubes are relatively easy to find once you spawn, but if you're looking for a launch pad after death, it's all blind luck or memory in regards to choosing the right spawn location. More often than not, you'll be running around endlessly looking for that thing.

What makes matters worse is that if someone sets up a sunderer right under the base and you die up top, that sunderer becomes the top respawn location on the list, even though it's probably the farthest one away to get you back into the fight quickly.

I stood on a hill right near on of those said sunderers and watched a stream if people respawning there and having to run 200 meters to find a tube or launch pad. People just instinctively respawn there as it's the closest location to their death, but actually the farthest in terms of getting back into the fight. It's funny, but I watched the same names respawn there over and over again and then run way out to a launch pad, even though we had multiple sunderers and outside respawn locations near those entry points. I guess one should never underestimate other people, ever.

There should be some indicator on the respawn map showing the tubes and launch pads IMO.
