I'm a fan of the performance packages. I hated having to pick one single thing and switch it out.

Yeah, i like that too.

Also they added a big info-panel when you open up the map for the first time. Shows to me they are very aware of the problems with the new player experience. Thumbs up!

But... but.. but they've removed the hill climbing from my lightning! Nooooooooooo I don't want the other upgrades even if they are in much nicer, easier to use packs.

I'm really glad they did this! I didn't like just picking one thing per slot.

Perhaps it would be better to have a pool of vehicle utility slots you can mix and match different defense/utility/performance slot perks to a set amount of slots that increase as your XP gained with said vehicle meets new milestone thresholds.

So say you have a level 2 Prowler and have added 1 slot to the original 3, and can put a front AND top reinforced armour, IR smoke, then a fire suppression system to the new slot granted by level 2.

I feel that players would get a more rewarding experience if they could level up/upgrade vehicles and weapons as they get more proficient with them, OTHER than just the cert unlock system. It would be tricky to do this without affecting gameplay.

I just want to be able to have a fully armoured tank on the field, it would both be ironclad and look really cool, but the stats for the speed would be reduced because of the added weight. Things like that would be a fair trade-off I think.

Like Crysander said, I want to see Hill climbing on tanks again... Because I feel the 10% I had on my Prowler helped me keep some speed uphill, it's awful otherwise (unless they increased the base amount it could climb hills at)

I had lvl 4 hill climb on my sundy and prowler, do we get them refunded?

Good patch. I too like the packages.

I hate the packages. They should have just made two performance slots. Now we get even less options.

I say this mostly because they removed hill climbing and hover power from the magrider, and there is no way to get these back.

I still say that they should make the vehicle performance stuff like the engine crafting experimentation in Star Wars Galaxies. Basically, you had 14 points to spend, which was enough to max two stats and dabble in another. With seven or eight stats to choose from, players had a lot "mix and match" options - A little boost to everything? Maybe a full boost to one thing, and a 50% boost to three other things? And so on.

In terms of PS2, they could have made it like so:

- 20 Cert Points = 1 Customization Point.
- Max Customization Points = 24.
- Customization Points required to max out a stat: 8.
- Customization Point Reallocation Cost: 20 Cert Points.

This would allow people to max out three of the stats or dabble in all of them. It would also allow them to change their allocation, for a price. Finally, with 1 Customization Point = 20 Cert Points, it allows a player to "level up" their customization over time to the max of 24 points.

QFT, except for the Lightning in my case. I think two performance slots would have been the better solve. But that, you know, would have taken UI work.

Why would a hover Vehicle, have an increase to friction AKA, Climbing power?

You silly Vanu you.

You are looking for Improved speed and acceleration.

If vehicles worked on some sort of physical principle, yeah. Reaction to slopes appears to be a first-order variable.

These gameplay changes to the infantry guns don't sit with me, so close to release. How often are we going to see in patches: "gun "x" has had it's extra ammo cert removed" or "gun "y" no longer let's you have an underslung grenade launcher"?
Won't peeps spending smed bucks feel burned by this meddling? Or will updates give you back your smed bucks and you are free to purchase or not purchase again?
