We need more voice macro`s. We need more in depth voice commands like the original. Not only were they funny to use but were extremely useful to warn people nearby of incoming vehicles/aircraft or .... MAX UNITS!
People would get farmed less imo if there was a quick way to be warned of immediate enemy attacks.

Absolutely, I don't get why we get this dumbed down version that is less complex but HARDER to use. Who can hit V-9 in the middle of a firefight? I have to take my hand off the mouse/keyboard for that.
Another shiny example where a very good and working system from PS1 was replaced by something stupid....

Have to agree, voice macros in PS1 were great. There's so many things missing like affirmative but no negative. Also I'm not a fan of pressing Q on a friendly player 'guessing' what you might want from them, I kept asking for ammo when I am an engineer etc.
Hell they could reuse the original voice work it had multiple voices and sounded fine to me.

Yes! Give us our old voice macro system back please, with even more options in it!
Higby asked PSU a long time ago to post what they want. Here's the thread: Additional voice macros (http://www.planetside-universe.com/showthread.php?t=37349)

Yes. I'm amazed that in 2012 they couldn't fit that into the game. The old system was much easier to remember and easier to use.
Come on, Higby, do the decent thing and put them back in!

Well it costs money to make voice macros and to implement them in game
maybe thats why ? :D
Unsurprisingly, the voice com system follows the devs' mantra of taking perfectly good PS1 systems and making them worse than PS1's.
We were promised MORE voice macros, not less.
And what's harder to press? V - 0 or VVV? Yeah, no fucking brainer. In combat no one will use past 4 or 5.
So not only are there less macros, they are worse IMO, and they are harder to use.
well, I asked about this on Twitter, they have no plans to fix this aspect of the game

@bagofchips We don't have any info on that for you, but stay tuned for any future updates. ^Valkyrie

signed!
devs, stop denying us anything from ps1!
the game may not have been very successful, but a lot of things worked great and should be a standard of every fps game!
the old system worked without having to learn it for very long! it was easy to remember the intuitive combinations! having to remember numbers instead fucks the system up for me!
and don´t pull the "more voicemacros cost money" card. just take the ready to use system from ps1 and put it up into ps2. even reuse the soundfiles, they don´t cost you anything and were superiour to the new ones in any way.
NOTHING IN PS1 IS SUPERIOR TO "I THINK i BROKE IT"
okay I couldn't say that with a straight face.

They may actually do this post-launch. In a live chat, I asked them if they planned on making a PS1 voice pack, and they said they want to but atm you can't choose your own voice. So maybe it'll be something that comes with time. I sure hope it does, because the v + 1-0 is pretty awful.

Well they said on twitter they have no current plans to.

I think maybe you are misreading that Twitter post. It's a standard response from a games developer to most questions really. If they are doing it they aren't allowed to talk about it (yet). The fact they even said stay tuned gives me a little hope at least.
