i added my friend on Planetside2, how do i talk to him. // i got a squad, he joined it, how do i use "voicechat"??? to talk with him?

hit esc go to settings then keybindings at bottom and figure out what your key for squad chat is.

Pretty sure the VIOP is down for now until they get the server loads worked out, so you'll have to do it the old fashioned way...type.

ahh ok that sucks you could always use skype that is what me and my friends use in LoL.
