Early access to the PlanetSide 2 API, eventually it will be open to all although I'm unsure when. This is a very initial set of features we Plan to at least push it out to you guys to start hammering on. :)

This is pretty legit. I'm pretty sure signature banners with updating stats will make a comeback soonish.

I checked Hamma's stats. His says 0 too. So does mine. I'm guessing bug. Is bug on this site or on SOE's site is the question I think.

It's an initial implementation of some other features we want to do including stat signatures. It will let you claim a character as your own and configure a page for it. Right now you can add a Twitch stream.

What Hamma said. We show who claimed which character so they can be disputed if someone claims one that isn't theirs. Trying to push for oauth for the api so we can verify people own the characters, but until then, it just has to be open claim.

My plan was to make a live android wallpaper that'd show each of the continents in turn and who was owning them at the time.

But it does involve me getting my big book of programming code out, so it'll probably be done soon after I finish those Planetside-inspired levels I was getting done for Little Big Planet (i.e. Soon™ =P)

I just had a conversation with the guys working on it, they are still doing some optimizations on the amount of data they are receiving. Just like the game, the API once it's in the wild is a new set of issues they are dealing with.

Along those same lines we are seeing stale character data in the API right now and that is expected. Things are a bit delayed - and for those who asked all character stats are saved each time you logout.

Been 8hrs+ for an update so far for one of mine.

What time zone are the times based on for Last Saved etc?

Is Facilities Captured a new feature that is not updated for all players yet?
I see a lot of 0 captures for people that must have captured something.

Yeah, it still seems a bit buggy. My "facilities captured" was showing up fine a day or so ago, but now it's gone back to showing "0" again.

(Mine is also about 24 hours out of date now too).

They say the API is suppose to update when you logout, if it doesn't it is hung up on their end.

Not sure what timezone, looks to be pacific maybe.

Facilities was broken, now it is updating, but requires people to login or otherwise trigger a data update for it to populate.

I know they must have that data, and while it may be overwhelming once your kills and deaths exceed a couple of hundred, it would still be fun to see who your nemesis is and who you rule over.

Maybe they can filter out just the top ten who you killed the most and top ten who killed you the most, lol. That would be fun to see and be shamed over.

Well what Hamma showed is weapon information. As far as how much it has been used, that is not readily available. We can see how much each character used the A30 Walker and compile it all, but it would only be from the characters looked up on stats.

I just noticed you added a lot more info to the data sheet, very interesting. Apparently i've killed buttloads more VS than TR, which is surprising.

Though any chance we can get our own faction recorded on the little pie chart and class kill chart thingies? Is that information recorded at all? Just curious if we can see how many times we've accidentally killed allies in comparison. :D

Well since the data is out of date from SOE's API nothing is really accurate right now.

Our leader board is only counting characters searched on PSU not worldwide chars. So it's only accurate for chars searched here.

Right I got ya. It does recognize what server each player is on so the qestion is will you eventually have an option to only see players on your server?

I would hope eventually the majority of players will have searched on PSU and be counted. So with that huge mass of players it will be nice to just see the players on your server. Just a thought.

I'll look at the damage done, should be there.

You can't see the top ten 'cause the api doesn't show who you killed or who killed you.

Yea would be good to see this sorta stuff, but its not tracked ingame very well, you can only see what type of vehicle people are using, not its attachment.

I think its just updated selected server(s), not all of them.
Logging in with characters didn't change anything unless maybe you were one of the right servers.

Are you able to do historical stats at all?
By that I mean would it be possible to have an option to select a particular week and it would show a snapshot of what your stats were at that time.
Same with leader board.

You could work out various trends like player x averaged 140 kills per hour in the first week and then for the second week dropped to 40 kills per hour.
Or see that player x managed 90 hours in week one and then in week two racked up 150 hours.

I am not asking for this to be added but is it possible to do?
I'm guessing eventually it probably will and be able to work much like bf3stats.com

We just got some confirmation a bit ago the data is still in flux, it may stop reporting randomly over the next several days. Additionally, the data such as kill counts etc may not be 100% accurate as of yet.

Anything is really possible once we have historical data collected - the problem is most of the data we have received has been somewhat inaccurate we may end up having to clear our database once the stats are confirmed as good.

What server is Dkamanus on? When was it created? The API is not providing character updates for some users, this may be part of that issue.

What server is Dkamanus on? When was it created? The API is not providing character updates for some users, this may be part of that issue.

Yeah I passed it along. Some changes are coming up for the api soon I hope will fix it.

Some changes were made on the API and now some people are showing with Zero deaths. This appears to be a bug and I've notified the folks over at SOE.

Yea looks like all characters here haven't been updated since 11/26 (http://www.planetside-universe.com/leaderboard.php?server=Briggs).

We moved over to a new API server yesterday.. apparently it does not resolve the issue. Following up again.

Looks like the zero death issue is slowly working itself out.

my vehicle kills stat is waaay off , even though the total kills seems to be right , once it is updated.

for example at the moment my "vehicle kills" being listed as 957 out of total 5043 kills , while my actual vehicle kills ingame are 2000+ and were roughly half of my total kills by the time current character update was made.

was the same issue at every update my chracter received.

It lists how many vehicle kills you have ingame? or you referring to your kills with vehicles?

the stat lists how many out of my total kills were made using vehicles , or at least i think it is supposed to do so.

but the number is incorrect - i have a much higher percentage of vehicle-made kills out of my total kills. i actually had around ~2200 out of ~5050 in game, while its listing ~950 out of ~5050 on the site.

correct me if im wrong and it refers to the number of vehicles i killed , not the number of kills i made with a vehicle.
the name of the stat and it being grouped together with kills\assists\k-d ratio may be somewhat missleading..

yea i it should as this is what i believe it meant because yea...i have a few more than whats listed there as kills in vehicles.

Briggs is so rooted atm, and I'm talking about the in game leader boards.
I am aware of the no deaths shit that we all know.
I've got screen shots of kill counts going up and down and played time vary by as much as 7 days depending if the person is logged in or not.

I wouldnt trust it even when its declared fixed.
IF it ever is.

might want to further change it to "vehicles destroyed" instead of "vehicles killed" though. :cool:

btw , is there going to be "member of XYZ autfit" part for character pages? possibly with a whole autfit tab..

possible functionality:
autfit tab with listed name , number of members , server the autfit is playing on
autfit "personal" page with a list of players similar to that in the leaderboard tab , but with possible addition of rank in the autfit. officers and leader could also post some autfit introduction\recruiting on this page
