when you buy camo,at least the helmet should get camo,i find there is too much faction colors on you even when you have a camo suit, for the infil its not bad,but heavy has a ton of faction colors with the camo

but at least the helmet should get camo, and it would be cool if we could add foilage to the helmet as well

+1, and I'm looking forward to new helmets also ^^

(Given the nature of the ultra simplistic char creation i don't think it will be an option to remove the helmet by any means at any time - unfortunately, but oh well ^^)

I think less faction colours would lead to an even worse distinction between factions. There is enough friendly fire as is, I think it's pretty balanced right now.

But more helmets are definitely needed!

I have to agree with this one, even though there is enough friendly fire incidents going one, I think the faction color in the max suit is to much, I bought snow camo for my max and when I put it on you really cant tell to much, I was a little disapointed. I think the green arrow over the target should give it away that he is a good guy, but yes sometimes you just cant tell from a distance. When in dought whip it out I always say

^ this. Identification of friend or foe is sometimes tricky as it is, so prominent faction colours are a must.

To me the camo for soldiers looks pretty bad, there's too much of it. It basically looks like the soldiers wearing a camo onesie with armour stuck over it here and there..

I love the vehicle camo though.

Faction colors need to be more prominent, IFF was hard enough before the camo, now its even worse.

You know the enemy can hear you yelling out those Q reports. Don’t let me discourage you from hitting Q makes you easier to find.

Working out whether people (or vehicles) wearing camo are friends or foes would be less annoying if the name/triangle identification thing above their heads didn't bug out all the time.

Camos are cosmetic items. If they made them more functional they would be considered P2W.

actually I'm of the opposite opinion, some of the camo atm makes people look like there from another faction already, I'd want some more faction specific colour on certain types tbh.

I say lets just take a fith of a second to varify and then fire, lets not all hit Q.... thank you.

I mean there was a couple of times when Ive had air that was pretty far, I didnt see an arrow so I fired and got the annoying ass BOOOOGGGGG. I mean Im killed more flashes that have run in front of my Sundy than ive shot down or shot at friendlies.

I think some classes do need a rework. Look at the VS heavy assault. The problem isn't necessarily the surface the camo covers but how it is spread across the character. A tiny patch here and there doesn't let you see the camo patterns well enough.

This. Camos really should be full camos, and the friendly triangles should always be there. But don't kid yourselves, there was plenty of FF in beta when we had no camos at all: Camos don't kill friendlies, stupidity does.
As for the p2w comment, it's such a mild advantage that it doesn't really matter (people hardly ever stop moving for it to be effective anyway, except for snipers who already have a cloak).
As camos are right now, i bet if they had a way to preview them from the start a lot of people who bought them wouldn't have.

I agree with this. I want to believe the purpose of camo's are to both give the player unique qualities, and retain the theme of Planetside as a sci-fi military shooter. I don't recall ever reading that the camo selection was intended to provide a tactical advantage. Infiltrators have enough at their disposal to be balanced, without blending into the environment completely. In short, camo's are vanity items, and I hope they stay that way.

I would totally pay for an outfit with a tucked in flannel plaid, lacer boots and logger socks.

Camos need to have empire colors to keep things fair.

Personally, and I'm probably in the minority on this, I'd like to see the NC a brighter blue, VS a brighter purple, and TR a brighter red.

I Know visually this won't look quite "as cool", but fucks sake it's hard to discern VS and TR from the dark of night. NC feels like it has a pretty huge disadvantage here, even though it's, on the surface, a cosmetic issue.

Black on black is hard to see unless you cheat, plain and simple... for those of you who have the ability to see black covered soldiers in the dead of night without a scope on the fly accurately enough to crouch and pick them off 300 meters away on heavy assault sure as hell make me wonder what I'm missing. I'm a graphic designer, video editor, and IT administrator for a living, and as a result I use a monitor that can pick up many different shades of black and gray very easily as it's important in my line of work so prints / websites come out looking proper... however, voice-comms or not, I have a REALLY hard time believing these guys on NC with 16-1 K to D ratios can spot these dark enemies so easily.

As an IT professional and a graphics designer, I'm assuming you're using an IPS display? They have great color reproduction, yes, but what you're saying is a known fact of IPS displays, more notable as they get older. It has something to do with the way contrast is spread to improve the color at all viewing angles - it does something to the blacks.

VS Heavy looks absolutely ridicules compare to heavy of other factions. Yet alone any sniper which just look dark.
I paid for armor and camo hoping it will improve the looks a bit but it got it even worse :(
That stupid look is killing my game experience and i dont feel like rerolling other faction at lvl 15.

ps hope they fix it
