Hey people
I have an usual situation here.
I subbed for membership in planetside2 for 3 months. Now have a 35% bonus from that until sometime next year. But i would like to pay for an additional 3 months before that is due (like in the next days), to get the higher bonus faster.
Now.. What is the best way of doing that? Do i cancel recurring charges, then can add new payment, or does that null my 3 months paid i already paid, or what you guys reckon is my options?
I hope my question is clear.

Not related to you direct topic, so with the membership. If you pay for multi months you don't start at 25 but the higher ammount?

You get bonus instantly for prepaid months, according to official sources.. and i did get 35% instantly (tier 3) after paying 3 months.

Thanks guess i'm buying the year then, that was the one thing holding me back if it took 6 months to get to 50

I have a 3 month membership as well, but I wonder if I purchase another three months if I will get my boost from 35% to 50% right away, or at the end of the three months I already paid for?
Anyone know?

You only get the 500 SC/month if you keep the recurring billing active.
If I were in your position, I'd open a support ticket with SOE, ask for a refund on the 3 month sub, start up a 6 month sub, and stick a post-it note to my monitor reminding myself to cancel recurring billing sometime after the start of the last month.

IMO, linking the auto-renew to the 500SC is a little shady. Not certain if intentional but it seems they've forgot to list all the benefits, and caveats, to membership on some screens offering membership. You'd think they would get these things fixed ASAP so they don't have to keep giving people refunds.
I first heard about this issue here ---> So subscribed for year, terminated auto-renewal - no SC cash?! (http://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/so-subscribed-for-year-terminated-auto-renewal-no-sc-cash.51857/)
I'm also not liking how there's nothing that warns you when buying cosmetic options that you are limited in the amount that can be used at one time.

The 500 SC is only granted on recurring plan, that is intentional. Think it even state so on the page where you buy it ^^

@Elahhez That's the whole controversy in the link to the thread I posted. The in-game membership purchase windows, as well as another location, doesn't show that statement. And it doesn't require you to go to the webpage that does to purchase it. Also, imo, if someone pays for a whole year they should get the 500SC every month, regardless if they auto-renew or not. If they don't auto-renew after the year then stop giving the SC.
EDIT: Here's the screenshot of the in-game window and the link to the location that doesn't show the info. that talks about it requiring you auto-renew. These were posted in a few posts below the OP. SOE is refunding his money and the mods said they reported the issue with the windows missing the info. Hope they do so soon! Even the thread made by a mod in the PS2 forums about membership benefits still doesn't talk about this.

it states "Station Cash Granted For Membership Upsell: 500 SC " on SOE page, it is worded correctly on the prosieben site.
SOE should specify that a bit more to eliminate confusion, agreed ^^
