Weapon Attachments - Transferrable?

I am playing medic, and unlocked the forgrip and 2x reflex for the standard issue cycler.

if i were to unlock one of the other, Cycler framed guns (like the B or the S) can i use my attachments from the original Cycler on the new one? given that they are the in essance the same gun?

im not sure wether to unlock the -B ive trialed it and it is nice, but i dont want to get it if i then have to spend another 130 certs re-buying attachments that i already have for the same gun.

Nope. Unlocks are per-weapon.

Yes, I know it doesn't make 'sense' given that you're unlocking the same attachment to sit on the same accessory rail.....but that's how it is.

Yea, the only time that.. somewhat applies is when you unlock an attachment for a weapon that multiple classes carry.

Attachments absolutely should be transferable. I can't, for the life of me, think of any good reason why it should be the way it is now.

Same reason you cant buy a cert with smedbux.

They do not want you having it all quickly.
