I got the dog fighting cert on both of my esfs, but I'm curious, did anyone get the hovering airframe? How does it perform as I can hover pretty well without it. Can you just float and go AFK?

I was tempted at first, but I seem to hover fairly decently without it, although I still need to input controls to maintain it. Is it fairly hands free so to speak?

Hovering in an ESF is like putting up a big, glowy neon sign saying "WTB tank shells". :p

Lol true, but hovering is still nice.

Hover Airframe reduces or even completely negates momentum of your aircraft. You probably have no idea how are you relying on it right now, waste certs on Hover Airframe and see for yourself. I nearly crashed shortly after equipping it - I was trying to simply roll my Mossie and fly sideways.

I haven't tried any of the ESF airframes yet. Working on the Galaxy

Improved Hover frame is not useless. It can provide a small speed boost when traveling strait (pitch your aircraft's nose down and hold Ascend, can add a few kph) It makes it a lot easier to dodge projectiles, sure you can debate a sitting aircraft is an easier target but it also makes it easier to target some ground targets.

I find it very usefull in dogfighting too, when properly used it can help you totally maneuver differently.

The increased vertical trust and air brake that comes with it is really useful

Does it provide faster circle turning? I just wanna hover in one spot and use a and d to turn without struggling with the current controls and getting the aircraft to stay stable.

No - has no impact on yaw control. If you want to rapidly change direction, roll and pitch.

I have all the certs on the Scythe now at level 1, and they're noticeable, but nothing to write home about. The speed-oriented module in particular is only good for about 5kph per level. Will that 5kph save your bacon at some point? Probably. Will you feel like it was worth the points? Not immediately.
