heh. What other names have you heard PS been teased with?
Planetstride; by the T1 / T2 community who think it'll be too slow. Run for 10 minutes, die, run for 10 minutes etc. Personally I'll prefer the slower pace brought on by moving in vehicles on foot... I'm too old for all this intense stuff :D

Most players who have played tribes just wont ever give up their jetpacks.
Sad really.

Counter-Tribes - my personal fav
Planetsux
I love the jet pack. But i think it takes away from other aspects of game play that you simply cannot find if a jetpack is employed. Particularly in the way of vehicles.

Ima gonna miss my jetpack. Energy pack for that reason. And the sniper rifle :)
But gonna miss being able to jump massive chasms the most :(

I saw "Everquake" on an article about PS.
Considering the commercial and critical success of both everquest and quake, calling a game Everquake is hardly a sleight. I'd say the same about Counter-Tribes. Are these intended to be compliments? :D

I like jetpacks mainly because I dont like to have to take a set path from place to place, IE:every fricking CS map. Jet packs let you behave less predictably by the posiblity of going up down, right or left. My playing style is about 90% reliant on me doing what the enemy's not expecting.
However, with planetside being so wide open, I don't think jet-packes will be required to be unpredictable.

Ahh, you still dont have jetpacks. You cant change speed or direction once you hit the button. Your locked onto that course. So you have a really big jump, not jetpacks.
