I just posted this else ware, but figured I would share it here because I feel the repercussions of some people's boost reach beyond just their own stats, but stats of the team members in their squad.
I seriously don't think it's a far-fetched request to ask for the experience/certification point's you have lost for the days without the boost you lost.
It is a cash purchase item that was effected by in game issues upon release. It's not like something you did, even if you wen't against the server warning messages. I mean I definitely made the mistake of purchasing the trial weapon after hearing about the attachments for Compact S before remembering the server messages.
That was Friday after thanksgiving I believe. So that was the 22nd. Today is the 2nd of december I haven't got the boost back.
Thats 10 days of not receiving an extra 30% boost. For me that is close to at least 2000 certs worth of experience. So thats 600 certification points I haven't received because of this in game bug, with a CASH purchase item.
So I say argue the point with support that your statistics have been padded because of the glitch/bug. You can get banned for exploiting in game issues that effect player statistics that is considered 'stat padding' and SOE will surely wipe your character if not ban your account. So why not use the same argument, because in the end it is the same context and same exploit.
A error in the gameplay mechanics have directly effected the statistics of players in a negative way. This argument combined with the fact that these are cash only purchases, only sounds logical to me.
Just a thought. The more I think about the loss of experience because of me losing the squad boost, it's not just me, it has effected each member of every squad I have been a part of by 30% of the experience they gained while playing with me. That kind of statistic padding fallout is a HUGE deal if you look at it longterm.
Myself, I am not a huge leader board junkie, but on my server I was still top 100 before the experience boost was removed. I don't rack up huge kills, but I do pilot a decked out liberator and I do get a lot of my experience with medic. So when I look at the leaderboard to see how I am doing I look at score. Well, in the last 10 days, with a lot of game time, I am missing out on 30% of all the score I made through this period. If my score was correctly fixed, I would probably still be in the top 100 today.
Edit: Just realized squad bonus gain is only 3% so thats pretty minimal, but still over time it has effected statistics, and the argument on my stats still stands in my opinion.
