Just noticed a tech plant on Indar (near the TR warp gate, forgot the name) had no tubes from the spawn room the main structure.
They just change something or has this particular tech plant lack the tubes from the start?

Are all the tubes gone from all tech plants?

Just fought at one today on Amerish and the tubes were in a building away from the main structure. The main structure has the v-terms and the shield gen for the SCU. The SCU is in-between the tubes and main structure. So if you are defending you have to hold the shield gen in the main structure and make sure you have AMS to keep up.

Base Design 101...
For this patch we are going to see how to make the game less fun.

There are slight differences with between all the Tech plants (and other large bases). Not everyone is the same. Tarwich and Hvar both have the tubes though.

As does Heyoka & Tumas on Amerish.
I have to say I prefer the variety, it means different strats for attackers and defenders...

I like variety as well, but what it means in this particular case is higher chance of being vehicle spawn camped with no good re-course if your AMS inside gets blown up.

Yeah, have never fought in Mao until I played TR. I like the variety as well.

It's sort of a relic of one of the older base designs. The dominant design in beta had the SCU where the main spawn room teleport tube is now, and instead they had the teleport tube where the double-door gravlifts are now (iirc). The only way to get to the upper level on the roof (where the air terms are) was by the roof teleporters; there was no gravlift/hole in the ceiling to get there. That design was pretty goofy because in order to get to the 2nd level of the roof (where many G-AMS deployed), you had to take the teleporter up to the 3rd floor and the gravlift back down to the 2nd.
