Planetside 2 Angry Review - YouTube
LMAO i like this guys show its funny, I like the new player drop pods to, if fun killing them and welcoming them to Planetside. :groovy:
I have to agree with the cert prices but you gotta remember, Free does not mean Free. Thats like me going up to you and saying you can have a free candy bar if you cut my grass. SOE smiles in your face telling you its free, but you have to remember who is paying the people to keep this game running. When there are no more camo designs to sell or weapons to buy, how will they make there money then. They better hope that they get alot more monthly subscription. I never believed in the free concept for this game and still dont. I pay a monthly sub, and Im glad to.

Not much to disagree with in this. Though some of thoes things he mentions are planed, but reviews are done "As they are now".
Personally, the cert prices, and station cash prices don't bother me. With a boost or a sub, they just sort of flow, based on personal performance. You get a cert around every 2.5 kills, and there are so many objectives and other methods of gain, its not really an issue to me.
60$ would net you 6000 Station cash, that's a good chunk of new items.

Decent review. He doesn't sugar coat the problems of it and its the right thing to do. At least he says it has potential and this encourages people to try out.

The only things I really disagree with are adding a 4th AI controlled faction or AI controlled bosses that pop out as events. That doesn't belong in this game and if that does come then I will just go back to FPS that don't do that. If I want PvE in my MMOFPS I would be playing FireFall.
Cert prices are obiviously set high enough that a lot of people would rather buy the stuff with SC than play for a few days to unlock 1 weapon. As a Free 2 Play model that is exactly what I would expect from them. You can play for free, but they really want you spending money.. the free part is just a hook to get your teeth sunk in so that they got you.

Yeah, I definitely don't want to see AI controlled players...

I agree with him that some of the lore SOE wrote should be introduced to the players.
They could do cinematic intros that goes into details about each Empire and why they eventually split from the Republic, or it could just recap all the events leading up to the current war, from the formation of the Terran Republic on Earth, to the expedition through the wormhole and its collapse, to the discovery of Auraxis. Basically all that they've wrote up to this point.
I could be asking for too much, but really, you should make the player care for the Empire that they're choosing imo

The main issue I have is how fast you obtain Certs. I think they should bring it down to League of Legends level where you played a few hours and were able to unlock a champion.

I would love to see something like this.

Man speaks a lot of truth... devs would do well to listen as it echos a common sentiment.

No way!! The midi file song he plays at the beginning of the video is of The Human Abstract - Crossing the Rubicon!

i was offline for some time and just found this angry review. i think it´s great and adressed the main problems of the game at the time. (no idea how much has been fixed already due to being offline)
BUT it is a unusual positive review! take a look at other angry reviews ;-)
ps2 is even recommended and it is said that there is no excuse to not try it out for free!
joe doesn´t seem to be aware of the developing process in terms of community envolvement, because most of his suggestions were already mentioned as a possible future upgrade to the game and he should have mentioned that the devs are upgrading the game, based on community feedback and requests!

But the last thread on that review is probably a few pages deep now and it was a good (and honest) review.

Excuse me? Not sure if you're referring to me, the OP, or Angry Joe, but either way you're wrong.
